Reviews for Midnight Hotel Canberra

I stayed at the Midnight Hotel for 3 nights. I chose this place on a colleague’s recommendation. How right my colleague was! The stay was absolutely fantastic. Good bed, quiet room and a hot shower all combined to make my stay very comfortable - where I could relax and recharge after a long day at site. I was in room 601. The bonus is that the mini bar is complimentary, which doesn’t happen very often these days. That said, the only thing I consumed was the roasted nuts! I will happily stay here another time!

It’s our one stop overnighter in Canberra due to consistently great service and exceptional value. Clean rooms, a little dark but quiet, modern and clean - complimentary mini bar. In-house restaurant has a great menu, good coffee and the hotel team are wonderful. Gym and pool are great. By no means overly luxurious but I’m not sure that exists in Canberra! I’d recommend staying here without a doubt. Use an agent like Prestige travel to book and they offer dining credits for the stay.

We stayed in the Lume Suite and loved it. The light-reactive artwork is cool, the minibar is free and restocked every day, we had a relaxing bath and a restful sleep. I also liked the pool. We stayed here for my wife's birthday. The staff gave her freebies on arrival - cocktail vouchers and a bottle of sparkling wine was waiting for us in the suite. We used the vouchers in the bar. The staff were nice, and we liked our signature cocktails. The hotel is centrally located, just a five-minute walk to Braddon's restaurants and shops.

From memory, this is at least our 3rd stay in this hotel. Again, we were very disappointed that our room was not upgraded even as a Titanium member. In fact, I was cheerfully told by the check-in lady that the room had been upgraded to a better room. I had to inform her that this room was actually what I had booked, so not an upgrade at all. Not very impressed. I then asked for someone to come and assist us to connect our streaming device to the TV rather than casting from my phone. That was at 4pm but none of the technical people appeared to be available anymore. I was told they must have gone home. Again, not impressed at all. Room is nice as was experienced before but customer service is very much lacking as we also remembered from before. A complimentary bottle of wine was delivered to us last night. The salumi platter provided as part of membership benefits was arranged for noon today. Whenever our next visit to Canberra is, will need to see if customer service remains the same or improved. Upon checking out, found out that the parking fee for 2 days have been waived.

I recently spent four weeks at the Midnight Hotel in Canberra, and I can honestly say the experience exceeded expectations. From the moment we arrived, Daryl, the Desk Manager, consistently went above and beyond for me and the two colleagues I was traveling with. Our stay was split into two‑week reservations, and when we checked in for the second half, each of us was upgraded to a better room and given complimentary bar tickets — a gesture that truly made us feel valued. Throughout the entire stay, Daryl and the staff were attentive, respectful, and incredibly patient. Their professionalism and genuine care made a long work trip feel comfortable and welcoming. Experiences like this make all the difference when choosing where to spend your money and where to rest after long days. Highly recommend Midnight Hotel for anyone visiting Canberra.
