Located in the cultural precinct of New Acton, the former Lakeside Hotel property has been home to many a handshake deal and long lunch. The redesigned building was embraced by new technology, distinctive art and cutting-edge design. QT Canberra has extensive experience in delivering exceptional events with the largest hotel function venue in the Canberra region.
The interconnecting configuration of the QT Ballroom Canberra can also be partitioned into three separate function rooms, with the banquet floor also offering five additional rooms providing exceptional facilities for smaller meetings, workshops or breakouts. The pillar-less rooms all offer natural light with floor-to-ceiling windows and neutral tones throughout.

We had a wonderful 3 nights stay at QT Canberra with our family. Rijesh and the entire team were incredibly welcoming and made sure everything was perfectly arranged for us. Our two grandkids had an amazing time, which made our stay even more special. The breakfast and dinner were both excellent. Thank you Rijesh and the entire team for the outstanding hospitality. We highly recommend QT Canberra and will definitely stay again!

⭐☆☆☆☆ Absolutely shocking experience. We booked this hotel because parking was clearly advertised as included in the price. When we arrived, we were refused access to the hotel parking. Instead of honouring the reservation, we were told to go and pay for a public car park ourselves. Not only did they refuse to provide what was included in our booking, they expected us to pay extra on top. That's simply unacceptable and incredibly misleading. As if that wasn't enough, breakfast on the morning of checkout was just as disappointing. We waited nearly an hour for nothing more than toast and eggs. An hour for one of the simplest breakfasts imaginable. By the time it arrived, we were already wondering if they had gone out to buy the ingredients. There was no real apology, no sense of urgency, and no respect for guests' time. The entire experience felt disorganised and poorly managed. If you're going to advertise services as included, honour your booking. Otherwise, don't be surprised when guests feel misled. We definitely won't be returning.

I was excited to stay at QT Canberra, having previously stayed at other QT properties and had great experiences. Unfortunately, while this hotel has the same QT personality and aesthetic on the surface, it was difficult to ignore that the property feels quite dated. In my room, the carpet was lifting in places, which immediately gave the sense that the hotel is in need of some maintenance and updating. The main issue, however, was the bathroom. On both nights of my two-night stay, I had to call reception because there was no hot water. While staff were lovely and responsive, it took close to half an hour each night for the issue to be resolved, which was frustrating and inconvenient. Even once fixed, the shower was still only just warm with fairly low water pressure. I was staying for a work function held onsite, and the dated nature of the building was also apparent in the business facilities. Unfortunately, the catering was also below expectations. The food was less than average, one day napkins were not brought out, and the following day there were not enough plates provided for attendees. It is disappointing, as I have enjoyed other QT stays and expected a similar standard. QT Canberra has the brand personality, but the overall experience did not quite meet expectations.

As always the QT Canberra never disapoints! The initial warm welcome of staff, the ambience, the quirkiness, instantly ensure you feel like you are a valued guest. Our room had lovely views of the Lake and escarpment, eveything clean and in working order. We had all meals in house. Food was well portioned, tasted great and well priced. All staff encountered - reception, cleaner, bar staff, food waiters, breakfast staff, coffee makers and those working behind the scene deserve a big thank you for consistent effort. See you again!

We had a great stay here quick overnight on our way through. Arrive late and left early. Great value for money. Staff very friendly. Fantastic coffee over the road at Mocan and Green Grout. Great vibe in the restaurant/ bar on ground floor
