Stayed this hotel for just one night, the pros are its budget friendly and the location is great, you can easily walk anywhere in the city. The cons are that the hotel itself self is not great. Our room smelled of smoke, and had a ‘motel’ feel. The pool was quite a distance from our room, two elevator rides, many stairs and doors later we got there. The water was lovely and warm, but you could not stay in the pool area longer than 30 minutes. There were only a handful of seats and no sun umbrellas or shade, the area is small, so with just a few families there the area was full. Maybe that is why there is no shade or sun umbrellas, to keep people rotating through the pool area and stop it becoming over crowded.

My son and I had a wonderful stay having all staff very friendly and helpful throughout our 6 night stay, with nothing being too much. Clean amenities, tummy buffet breakie, cafe food delicious and best espresso martini in your cool vibe cocktail lounge. My high light being the roof top pool 🙌💙 a touch of luxury no other establishment offers Highly recommended to families being close to kings Park, Zoo.amd the Christmas lights and activities close by during the holiday period. Thankyou again to all staff and Management at the Mecure you're all amazing!! WIshing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year ✨️

The staff were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was well thought out as it had more variety than I have seen elsewhere. The bathroom in our room was very dated and leaking so this gave me concerns about mould although I didn’t see any. The room itself was practical and clean. Overall it was a positive experience.

Dated facilities: No USB ports, no Smart TV, and the shower curtain was unstable. Shower gel pump is broken. Poor environment: Window view was a roof and rubbish. Noise: Soundproofing is non-existent. Our room was opposite the laundry, and the noise was intrusive. As we checked in on January 1st, no where to use our welcome drink vouchers. I expected much better quality for the rating. (Officially 4 stars hotel. )

A last minute trip across to Perth resulted in low availability of hotels and Mercure Perth was one of the only Accor Group options. Being an Accor+ member usually comes with good service and a nice welcome, but not here. At check in there was no conversation, just a room key with no explanation of any hotel amenities. Upon prompting for advice on the parking availabilities, the staff member referred me to a sheet of paper and stated she had no idea of any prices even though: 1. She works there and probably explains parking options multiple times a day. 2. Prices were actually printed on the sheet. The room was good and the bed was comfortable. Although a refresh does seem due… No bathroom amenities were provided (except standard soap/shampoo/conditioner). The shower soap was completely empty. The ladies at check out didn’t seem interested and there was no conversation. The second staff member was showing the person serving me something on their phone during this process. Overall, no engagement with guests. I did receive a complimentary bottle of wine delivered to the room as a gold Accor member, however it’s hard to increase a hotels rating because of that as it is generally a perk at every Accor hotel. Improvements are definitely needed.
