We are Accor members and arrived on Saturday afternoon after preregistration for our stay. Reception was v busy with long wait times. The concierge was rude and pushy, several times trying to move our vehicle from the waiting area. After eventually being seen by staff and receiving our room and parking info we then tried to enter the underground car park ($49) which was overly priced. The concierge overrode the boom gate not operating and we got inside. We were then unable to use our entry cards to use the lift for the correct room level and had to go back to reception and wait again for the cards to be reprogrammed. What a chaotic mess. The room had been upgraded to superior ocean view but was underwhelming. Fairly dated and basic. Overall we didn't stay in the room for long as we went out however left with the decision that we will not be back. When leaving and completing the check out, we were charged twice for parking. We have now been advised that the carpark is owned by a separate company and they will have to contact them to request a refund. All in all, would I recommend.... NO.

Fantastic stay at Sofitel Gold Coast! The hotel is beautiful, the location is perfect, and the service is exceptional. A special shout-out to Por for the amazing customer service. We stayed at four different hotels during our Gold Coast trip, and unfortunately this was the most disappointing customer service experience. I booked through Agoda and accidentally selected a Hinterland View room instead of an Ocean View room. After noticing the mistake, I contacted reception and explained the situation. I was advised that changing to an Ocean View room would incur an additional $80 charge, despite Ocean View rooms being advertised at the same rate on Agoda, Booking.com, and the hotel’s own website for the same dates. What made this more frustrating was that the hotel was not close to full occupancy, which was acknowledged by staff. Given the availability, I was hoping for a more customer-focused approach and some flexibility to accommodate a simple room change request. For comparison, we also stayed at Rhapsody Resort for nearly half the price, where we received a better view, superior amenities, and a room that was approximately twice the size. While the property itself has its positives, the lack of flexibility and customer-focused service left a poor impression. Based on our experience, I would recommend that travellers consider alternative accommodation options before booking here. Management could benefit from placing greater emphasis on customer satisfaction and service recovery.

We loved our time at Sofitel Broadbeach. The hotel was immaculate — you can tell cleanliness is a huge priority here. Reception staff were polished, friendly, and super professional. But what really made the stay was the team’s attitude: every staff member we met went above and beyond to make all guests feel comfortable and looked after. Hotel is also in a perfect location, right in the heart of Gold Coast. Sunrise and sunsets can’t be missed, along with best food and wine 🍷 : That level of care is rare. If you’re heading to Broadbeach, this is the place to stay.

The Sofitel Gold Coast delivers a fantastic stay despite showing its age in places. While the hotel could use a refresh in some areas, the rooms themselves are lovely...comfortable, spacious, and well-appointed with everything you need. The pool area is a real highlight, generously sized and perfect for relaxing in the sunshine. The buffet is excellent, offering a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options that cater to all tastes. What truly sets this hotel apart is the customer service, which is consistently spot on. Staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. A solid choice on the Gold Coast.

Located on level 2 with direct access to the Oasis Shopping Centre, the Chevron Room offers an ideal setting for intimate presentations, seminars, or private board meetings. Adjacent to the secretariat, it is the only event space on this floor, enabling you exclusive use of the entire level.
