Reviews for Hilton Sydney

We stayed for just one night in a junior suite. Really lovely. Spacious and comfortable with a really nice spa bath. We arrived this afternoon and our luggage was taken out of the uber boot by a porter. We used the digital check in and key. Hotel is very central with easy access to the quay. We went down to the Executive Lounge. Special mention to Ariyani in the Executive Lounge who made sure the dishes were well stocked and well presented throughout the time we were there. Keep it up Hilton Sydney!!! We have been in another Hilton lounge recently where food was put out late and dishes were regularly empty. Credit to Hilton Sydney where credit is due. Staff great - even just walking around we were greeted, lift doors held open by staff if they were near the lift area.

Posted on behalf of my parents: We recently stayed at the Sydney Hilton Hotel for our 40th Wedding Anniversary. We purposely picked that Hotel because it was part of an internationally recognized Hotel franchise which we thought would provide us with a memorable occasion for our 40th Anniversary celebration. It was certainly memorable, but unfortunately for us, it was for the wrong reasons. It started not long after our arrival when we tried to access our room, however, we quickly found that our access cards didn't work. I then had to go back down stairs to Reception while my wife waited with our luggage to obtain new cards to access our room. Once inside, our next issue was that we couldn't access the streaming service on the in-room TV system. We called reception, but after waiting an hour and with no help in sight, we again called Reception who said, "Oh, haven't they been up there yet"? Eventually a lovely gentleman by the name of Prabin came up to check it out. Unfortunately, he couldn't get it working either and suggested that perhaps a change of room would be advisable. We reluctantly agreed and packed up our bags and the Hotel arranged for us to move to another room on a different floor. We again got new access cards from Reception and tried to use them in the Elevator, but you guessed it, without success. This meant a further trip back to Reception to obtain yet another set of access cards. This set, the fourth since we had been there, was provided to a Hotel Porter who was assigned to help us with our luggage which we had been lugging to and from Reception each time a card change was required. On this fourth attempt, we once again didn't get off the ground floor as the Porter couldn't get the Elevator to recognize our assigned floor with the new cards. So, back to Reception once more. Eventually, after our fifth set of cards were issued (yes, can you believe it - 5 sets of cards!) we finally made it into our room. Through all of this the staff were very apologetic as they could see the frustration we were experiencing. Once inside our new room, we tried to access the Streaming service again, without success. However, on this occasion we decided to just give up on it, as we thought "Oh no, we're not changing rooms again. We couldn't possibly go through the cards fiasco again". On our last morning at the hotel my wife went to breakfast early and the waitress advised her that as a "Hilton Honors Member" she was entitled to a discounted breakfast. She was advised that the cost was $25 which my wife gratefully accepted. However, at checkout later that morning Reception indicated that her breakfast cost was $45!!. My wife advised that was not what she was told earlier, however Reception indicated that what she was told was not correct and the full fee was applicable. Eventually, the breakfast cost was decreased to $35, which we paid, however the lack of communication between the Hotels Department's was disappointing. Needless to say, we will not be returning to the Sydney Hilton anytime soon! Edit: response to Hilton now attached as a photo

This is a pretty standard Hilton, with all the usual facilities. I think when it was built 50 years ago, it would have been a fantastic hotel. Since then other high rise buildings have been built around it so the views are not very good. Still, its ideally located, especially if you use the metro to get in from the airport, as its 2 minutes’ walk from Town Hall station. The facilities are excellent. It shares a gym and spa with a local gym so has really good facilities. There is also onsite parking. The executive lounge is nice and has a good breakfast and canapés in the evening, so you only need to get lunch. We stayed here a few times on the trip and used it as our home base. We were able to leave luggage here between trips, which meant we could do things like Uluru using hand luggage. The rooms are also nice, clean and up to the usual Hilton standard. It’s a convenient, quiet hotel. I would recommend staying here unless you particularly want views over the bay.

We stayed at the Hilton Hotel Sydney for 8 nights over New Year’s Eve. The check-in process was very fast and efficient – we were checked in within just a few minutes. As Diamond Members, I had booked the lowest room category and we received a room upgrade to a King Executive room, which we truly appreciated. The room size was perfectly fine for a city hotel, clean and functional. A major point of criticism was the breakfast. It was very crowded every single day, and we sometimes had to wait 10 to 15 minutes before even being seated. The most disappointing experience occurred around New Year’s Day. On December 31st, we specifically asked about the breakfast hours for January 1st, as many guests were in town for the fireworks. We were told that breakfast would be served until 11:00 a.m. However, when we arrived at 10:30 a.m., the restaurant was already closed, and some of the buffet stations had already been cleared away. Guest communication should definitely be improved in this regard. On our last day, we also used the fitness and swimming pool area. Unfortunately, this was a disappointment. The facilities felt very old, worn down, and not particularly clean. This was especially surprising given the otherwise high standard of the Hilton hotel above. Despite these issues, we would still stay at the Hilton Sydney again if we return to the city – especially due to the central location, the quick check-in, and the benefits of Hilton status. With better breakfast management and a renovation of the fitness and pool areas, the hotel could significantly improve its overall quality.

Long time since I stayed at Sydney Hilton, my wife wanted proximity to the QVB, A 1 minute walk, & the brand name stores are another 2 minutes walk with Pitt st Mall, Centerpoint tower & David Jones. The most centrally located 5 🌟 ⭐ hotel. Rooms are well presented, modern, with night blinds which i love. The Executive lounge is on lvl 1, no windows / view, with a bland atmosphere. Bottom tier spirits, no name wines 1 year in the bottle. No canapés just some snacks, fruit, sliced small goods, anti pasto condiments. & breakfast is nothing special. HOWEVER, I suggest booking a room with space, a view & pay the extra for breakfast as the Glass Brasserie is Exceptional. The decor, location, food & professional staff make this the place to experience the Hilton offerings. A slight hiccup with my expectations saw me attending reception where DEVI came to the rescue. I paid for a slight upgrade & was given an amazing one. Her dedication & determination for customer satisfaction earned this review Yugen also gets a mention. The Hilton surprised us, the staff won us. An enjoyable Christmas 🎄 with relaxed atmosphere. I recommend you stay & sample what this hotel offers. On site parking as well. 🌟 ⭐ 🌟 ⭐ 🌟
