I enjoyed my short stay, The view was beautiful, the spa and shower I appreciated. I wasn't feeling too good or lacked appropriate presentation. I had a bad day and night. But the barra was like a design of art straight from the heart on point with the crack of the skin. I was thinking about my family at the time as I was eating the vegetables and when I reached the centre of the dish I could feel love my heart hadn't experiences such a warm loving feeling. I felt emotion like being held for the first time. Thank you. I really wanted to cry. It was what I'd describe as a placement master piece. I was unable to have a second night. Everything comes down to budget and I really just wanted to enjoy a wonderful view have a spa in a clean environment for peace and clarity. I will return again. But next time they won't recognise me. Heart to heart chef!!

Downstairs is magnificent, fresh, and beautiful, and then you walk in the suites, and it's outdated, tired looking, and needs a good scrub! We had a dirty towel left behind the bathroom door on arrival. The bathroom needs a de-mould , the shower curtain was gross but was better than the shower spout. So much calcium build up. You felt dirty showering. Rooms aren't soundproofed, so if you want a quiet relaxing wknd away, this isn't the place. Pool is a great feature, except there is no privacy and right where all the public walks on the promenade. Restaurant renovations are great, and the food is fabulous sizes (only had starters and we couldn't eat it all). Bar shuts too early on Saturday. Went to a comedy show and wanted a nightcap after, but the bar was shut at 10 pm. The area has depleted a little, but if you like watching cargo ships, this is the place to stay. All up needs TLC in suites and upgrade of TV situation. Even though it wasn't fantastic, this is the best Rydges we have stayed at

Great location, plenty of restaurants to choose from close by and breakfast at the hotel was great. We walked everywhere we needed to and caught the ferry across to Stockton which was only a short walk away. Was entertaining watching the ships and tugs go by during the day, but can be pretty noisy at night if you are a light sleeper with the helicopter taking the pilots out regularly through the night just across the river.

Great location helpful staff. At breakfast, the supply of condiments needs addressing. The bulk jars of jam, peanut, Nutella etc doesn't work with a knife. Either have a spoon or individual serves. The in-house parking was a little high , but very good, and I will use it again. The best thing about the shower was the labels on the shampoo conditioner and body wash. Large contrasted labels are white on black. I don't wear my glasses in the shower and could read what each was. Well done.

Lovely kind concierge called Michael who helped us with a wheelchair the day of the air show , we under estimated the walking distance from the ferry so we stopped for breakfast at the hotel ( which was very good) my 84 year old father was unable to walk the distance so we asked for wheelchair assistance and Michael helped us. He was so polite and kind we can’t thank him enough . He made a huge difference to our day which otherwise would have had to have been abandoned . The air show was fabulous , a real day to remember ! Thank you again Michael We will def be coming back to the hotel again but we will be more prepared next year!
