Reviews for Hotel TOTTO

The booking stated we would be in a Deluxe Room that is “newly refurbished”. The room had pealing paint and chipped tiles in the bathroom. This room did not seem to be newly refurbished. On the Novotel website it stated “ Any rooms and facilities near renovation zones will be taken out of service temporarily to ensure a peaceful and quiet stay.” However outside our room was the painting rig tied to our balcony. It was filthy, covered in cigarette butts. We complained to the assistant manager and asked for an alternative room but all that could be offered were rooms with not enough beds or the penthouse if we were willing to pay. It did not appear that any rooms had been taken out of service and this had a significant impact on our stay. The lifting in the building is completely inadequate even though all lifts appeared to be working. During morning and afternoon peak we would typically have to wait for 10-15 minutes for a lift and heard other guests complaining that they had to wait for 40 minutes. In the morning we were only able to get Luke warm water out of the shower even when put it on full hot. Even when I got up at 5:15am on the last day i could only get Luke warm water. Buffet was average, pasties always seemed to be slightly soggy, coffee was terrible and scrambled eggs tasted like they had been bulked up with flour. I would not stay at Novotel again in surfers paradise or anywhere else.

Everyone was great. The cleaners did a great job and the beds were comfortable and the view was awesome. The place itself is a little dated as in the carpets were worn and the bathrooms fixtures were dated and there was no extractor fan. Also my partner leant over the balcony and got attacked by a kite which understandably there was nothing that the hotel could do about it but it could have been worse than it was.

I recently stayed at the **Novotel Surfers Paradise** in a sea view room top room at floor 35, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The room offered breathtaking views of the ocean, allowing me to wake up to the sound of waves and enjoy stunning sunsets from the comfort of my balcony. The room itself was spacious, modern, and well-maintained, with all the amenities you could ask for. What made the stay even more special was the hotel's prime location. The **Novotel** had excellent access to a variety of restaurants, catering to different tastes and cuisines, all within walking distance. Whether I was craving fine dining or a casual meal, I never had to venture far. Public transport was also incredibly convenient, with buses and trams just steps away, making it easy to explore the Gold Coast without any hassle. And the best part? The main beach at **Surfers Paradise** was literally a short walk away, allowing for spontaneous beach visits whenever I felt like it. Overall, **Novotel Surfers Paradise** offered the perfect combination of stunning views, accessibility, and convenience. I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking to fully enjoy all that Surfers Paradise has to offer!

The superior room was excellent (king size bed) with separate room containing two single beds. The ocean view was terrific also with great view down Cavill Avenue. The buffet breakfast was fantastic and all staff were friendly and courteous. A great place to stay in Surfers Paradise.

The hotel's prime location is a major highlight, offering easy access to the beach and nearby attractions. The surrounding area is vibrant, with plenty of shops, restaurants, cafes, and bars to explore. The hotel offers a range of facilities, including a pool, gym, and a bar and restaurant. However, the facilities are a bit dated and could use some updating. The buffet breakfast offers a decent selection of options, but the food can be a bit repetitive. The rooms are ok but the decor is a bit outdated. Cleaning needs more attention to detail, few areas of the room can be dusty, and the bathroom could use a more thorough cleaning. We also need to request for regular housekeeping. The rooms on lower floors, can be noisy. Rooms are offered level 6 onwards with pool and facilities at level 5 so if you have an option opt for higher floors. Overall, Novotel Surfers Paradise is a decent option for a beach getaway, but it's not perfect. The location is excellent, and the facilities are adequate, but the rooms and cleanliness could be improved. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option with a prime location, Novotel Surfers Paradise is worth considering.
