Reviews for Hotel TOTTO

We travelled to Wollongong for a tournament and had someone suggest TOTTO. 2 adults and 2 children for 2 nights. We paid $964. 1 we had 2 adjacent rooms. We had to ask for the door in between to be unlocked , even though we booked for 2 adults and 2 children The rooms are pokey and narrow. With little room to do anything. The beds were on wheels and rolled around. The sheets came off the base if you sneezed. The fridges weren’t turned on. The air con sounds like a 747 landing in your room. We tried to get into the parking and our cards didn’t work. The staff were good and the location was also good. But for the money big thumbs down

I have mixed feelings about my stay. The staff all seemed very nice, friendly and welcoming. Buffet breakfast was great on the first day (granola, strawberries, fruit bread were a lovely add, but sadly they were not supplied the following three mornings, even when I asked on the Friday). I love that they had coconut yoghurt though. So a big plus for that. However, the shower drain was broken (and I'd seen this from previous reviews too and clearly not fixed). *see photos* The air conditioner / heater didn’t get hot, even when turned to the highest of 30°C on the cold winter nights. Plus VERY noisy so after over an hour I had to turn it off and it had barely taken the chill off the room. The bed sheets had brown ironed marks on them which looked gross but overall it did seem and smell clean. *see photos* Room was spacious enough considering I was in the area for work and barely in my room. However, no wardrobe and needed many more coat-hangers than just 2 to hang up my clothes. No phone in room to call direct downstairs and my phone rang out when I called from my own phone. Easy to find. No issues with internet and parking$ was very accessible. It's basic and perfectly fine for its purpose if they amended the above issues.

Firstly I booked a 2 bedroom suite, which turned out to be 2 interconnected small rooms. Tried to checking online...couldn't, so still needed to go to very busy and very confused staff to checking. 2 people prior to me had got different rooms to what they had booked, including me! Thought parking was included, was not! Ok so paid for secure parking. Hotel is advertised as 24 hour desk, i went down to desk twice through the night as I wanted to make sure my son could get in (we had only room key) no one there!! In morning I checked out online ..hotel automatically charged me another $25? Had to deal with inept staff to get overcharge reversed. Beds not too bad, fridge so noisy had to turn off. Location is good, and the coffee, only reason I gave an overall 2.

If you are looking for a good nights sleep Hotel Totto is not the place for you. The walls and windows are not appropriate noise barriers for a hotel of this location, they are paper thin, as noisy drunk people walk outside and up the corridors and hotted up cars race up the street for all hours of the night. The presentation of the room and bathroom was quite nice, only to be extremely let down by the quality of the mattress which looked and felt cheap and old, you can feel every spring in it, with it sinking in the middle and with no mattress protector which is quite unhygienic. Very disappointed as this hotel had so much potential with the design and location. A night away ending up tired and exhausted the next morning not our idea of fun.

It was our first stay in Hotel Totto. Was very impressed with our twin room which connected to the Queen accessible room as requested. The accessible room and ensuite bathroom had wide entrances, were very spacious and the bathroom was very well set up. Both the twin room and accessible rooms were clean and quiet. Matt at reception offered to help us with luggage which was greatly appreciated. Check in and checkout was efficient. The reception area (open 24 hrs) is spacious and very welcoming with comfy lounges, chairs and is tastefully decorated. There's also a restaurant onsite but unfortunately it wasn't open on the day we stayed. Hotel Totto is well located and only a few minutes walk away from shopping mall and restaurants. The scenic coastline and beaches are only a few minutes drive away. There's on site parking at the hotel too.
