Pretty disappointed with this place. Very overpriced. We stayed here for our anniversary and it wasn’t at all what we would have hoped. The rooms are very small, it definitely used to be student housing. The mattresses are old with metal springs. Absolutely horrible! The shower was dirty and mouldy, I wouldn’t use it. The TV wasn’t great. It had no apps to stream and took ages to connect to your own device. The staff are relatively friendly but their customer service wasn’t great. The only saving grace was the buffet breakfast at Basta. It was a small spread but nicely done. Fresh eggs and good coffee. So much potential with this place, the outside and lobby are really cool but the rooms are really lacking. Hope to return one day to see some changes! Wollongong needs some nice hotels!

Was told I could check in midday as I had arrived after a long flight but only got my room at 3pm and only after I asked reception. I stayed 3 nights and housekeeping never cleaned my room or provided fresh towels. This was despite 3 reminders and constantly checking with reception. There was a cockroach in the bathroom on day 2 and I told reception but nothing was done. Beds not made and coffee sachets not replenished. No cupboards or drawers in the room. Instead a metal grid on the wall where one is supposed to hang clothes? Very inconvenient and disappointing as I had come for an event and needed to hang clothes up. I rang the hotel the day before arrival requesting an iron. Nothing was provided even after 2 requests and I ended up having to take an iron and ironing board I found in the hallway propped up against the wall. Staff were friendly enough and the Negroni was one of the best I’ve had and food was good too. However, the overall impression was dismal especially when the room rates were not cheap. Won’t be coming back to this place. A friend’s shower barely worked and requests for toilet paper fell on deaf ears. Instead, she got free coffee and egg and bacon rolls. I don’t understand.

My room featured a charming blend of blood, pee, and mystery fluids smeared on the walls and toilet. The shower is so mouldy I half expected it to hiss at me when I turned it on, and the (empty) soap dispensers are sticky with substances I’d rather not discuss without gloves and a tetanus shot. The whole place is covered in a thick layer of dust sprinkled with used Q tips, like they’re intentionally going for a transitional housing vibe. The air conditioner is the loudest thing I’ve ever heard. It left me with tinnitus. I woke up thinking I was onboard a Boeing 777. Turning it off means you’ll freeze anyway, because the window isn’t sealed properly and icy air is funnelled directly onto your face. There’s no cutlery or plates, just two coat hangers (with nowhere to hang them). Luckily, you get two batteries to share between the AC remote and TV remote. The outside entertainment consisted of undesirable locals performing some sort of loud shopping trolley ritual. You get one room key for two people. So if your partner leaves (eg. to get plates), you sit there in the dark.

Arrived at 3 to check in room was not ready, waited till 3.30. The room was basically a shoe box, no lan line to contact reception. They offer room service but you need to pick it up defeats the purpose of room service. Shower drain cap was lifted and floating around. Definitely won't be back.

Rooms were nice but quite small for what you pay, only 2 coat hangers in the room, but very walkable, mall across the road, Illawarra hotel 1 block away, breakfast looked great (extra $25 per person)service desk was helpful when we locked ourselves out of the room. Bar service looked quite nice although we didn't drink there. Overall Recommended 👍🏼
