Reviews for The Point Brisbane

We loved this hotel. 19 of us stayed over the King's birthday weekend and had a great time. The staff couldn't be faulted The rooms and bathrooms were spotless. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool area and it was great having the ground floor cafe/bar. My room needed refurbishment but others enjoyed renovated apartments. The service was excellent and we had a great time enjoying a catered function on the rooftop. We found the location not suited to our requirements as we had to use the crossriver Kitty cat to Sydney St in order to catch the larger river ferry. On the Saturday evening this ferry was full full and we ended up having to walk to our evening venue closer to South Bank.

Rooms were really clean and presented well. Not steril looking like some places. The lambert was a lovely place to eat with excellent service. Parking reasonable price. And checkout time really good. Great experience.

Really liked this hotel. My room was comfortable, clean & the bed was 'heaven'. Lamberts restaurant is an excellent option if staying in and the in house facilities, especially the free laundry service was very handy for this weary Camino traveller. Close to Kangaroo Point bridge, you can knock out a 10k loop around the bridges if you're keen or stroll into the CBD. Staff were very helpful and fun to talk to. Hubby & I would definitely come back again.

The Point Hotel is superbly situated for getting in and around Brisbane. Easy walk into City or take the free local ferry. Customer Service was outstanding, nothing too much trouble. With a sumptuous breakfast included, it was an easy decision to select The Point for our staycation. Easy and reasonable priced parking as well. Rooms were quiet and bedding exceptional. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately, the hotel is very outdated. The rooms were very old-fashioned with really old furnishings. I upgraded myself and paid for a balcony suite. However, I think I should have just stuck with a standard room. As it probably would have been nicer, the balcony suite has a shower over a bathtub. The tiles were mouldy, the room felt dirty. There was an excess drip tap in the bathroom, which dripped all night long and the room upon arrival had the most unpleasant mildewey smell. I booked and paid for 2 nights and I decided to leave after the first night. I checked out in the morning and have found alternative accommodation. I think the hotel definitely needs to look at pricing point to suit what they're offering to the market. As it's only at best 3 star.
