There is nothing really special about this hotel apart from looking nice. The service from the staff was pleasant. The room was average, king bed with a ridge down the middle, the hot water system servicing other rooms was in our wardrobe so very noisy whilst other units showered. We didn't need one but important to point out there is no air conditioning but there is a heater. Not enough milk to make 1 coffee, toilet paper cheapest to be found and super thin, paid for breakfast buffet but was asked for $5 extra per egg to be fried so only choice was scrambled. Dinner was nice as advertised and the sweet potato chips were delicious. Out of the 5 hotels we stayed at during this trip, I would not choose this one again. Be aware there is no lifts in this building so carrying the luggage to upper floors can be a trial but I'm sure if you asked for assistance it would hopefully be provided.

While the initial appeal of 1800 architecture seems appealing visually, it’s unfortunate that there hasn’t been an attempt to include even the most basic amenities in what is priced at the higher end of town. For $377/night you expect the rooms to at least have air conditioning, which they do not. The staff was kind enough to inform me there was a heater to use instead, so unless you’re coming in winter, or enjoy sweating in your sleep forget about it. Terrible stay. Never again. Who knew when you’re paying nearly $400 a night you wouldn’t get aircon.

Nice blend of late 1800s charm and modern amenities. Only down side was carrying bags upstairs as there was no lift but easily worth it for the view, King bed, large TV & spacious room. There is a bar, restaurant & breakfast is available on site with ample parking containing charging stations for EV’s. location is close to restaurants, shops and central enough for getting around Hobart. Excellent friendly reception staff, WIFI was faster than most places we’ve been, streaming was capable in our room.

The rooms lack basic things like enough milk for a single coffee. The beds were really nice. Only one bin and it's tiny. Really bad tv. 3 stars rooms. The room booking was very frustrating because we asked for an extra bed in one of the rooms. They put us in a room cheaper then we asked for and still paid the price of the more expensive room. After our first night they moved us into a room we paid for with 2 beds instead of one. While the staff were moving our luggage (we were out of the hotel so we couldn't move it) they lost my 40 dollar charger. I went the night without it and the next morning they looked all over for it came though they were so understaffed and found it saving me 30$. I greatly appreciate it and they were all very nice. 5 star service. The location is not bad looking over a footy oval and a portion of the Hobart housing areas. Enterong the parking lot is easy and there s lots of parking spots and a nice pool that is very clean. 4 star location. Overall rating 4 stars.

Loved the overall experience of this hotel and the staff went above and beyond. Rooms although serviced to a high standard suffer from cross-noise contamination as they are narrow and in two floors. There appears to be limited noise dampening. Also parking is immediately outside, one morning constant car door closing noises. The staff however were expectational and offered a solution without prompting.
