Cannot thank everyone involved enough for making our wedding day so special 🫶 My wife and I got married at the Rydges Hotel 2 Saturdays ago, and we had the best time. Leading up to the event, Lucy and her team communicated with us on a daily basis. They were very attentive to detail regarding what we wanted and went above and beyond our expectations. The food (well done to the chefs: the chicken, steaks, and desserts were unreal) on the day, as well as the service and beverages (a big well done to Judi), and front of house (Taylor) were excellent in every aspect. We wanted to get married at the Geelong waterfront, but the weather wasn’t the best. Luckily, we had a room as a backup, for which we couldn’t be more grateful. The hotel suite we stayed in was one of the biggest hotel rooms we have ever stayed in. I think it was called the Ambassador Suite. We also had complimentary sparkling wine with fruit platters and cake platters sent to our room shortly after our wedding lunch. Breakfast was also top-notch. Well done! Went to stay for the night with my partner this past Tuesday night. The room was nice. Was told it was premium so we expected so. Parking is super expensive at $27 so had to park on the street. Staff and customer communication isn’t the best. We opened our fridge and found drinks and such in there. Thought it was apart of the whole package… considering it was $201. No one had told us it wasn’t. Only to find out I had been charged a further $118 later on. Don’t appreciate not being specific with your customers about things. Like why was there alcoholic drinks in our fridge if we weren’t meant to have them? That’s sneaky and sly in my honest opinion. Overall was a little disappointed to be honest.

Rydges Geelong you are a perfect example of the spot on standard of service that should be expected to be provided by any business operating in the hospitality industry covering a wide range of clientele with a wide variety of needs. From the moment I made my first enquiry over the phone regarding booking with my guide dog I had a good feeling about your hotel. The booking assistant was patient, energetic, knowledgeable and wanted to be able to assist to ensure that not only I went ahead and booked but felt comfortable with my booking. When we arrived we were met by very friendly and efficient staff that clearly looked like were expecting us which indicated great internal communications making check in smooth, quick and totally fuss free. Our King room met all our needs for a comfortable 1 night stay. The stand out highlight was the staff. Everyone we had dealings with from the front desk to the restaurant looked like they enjoyed being at work. You can never put a dollar value on that. That will definitely make us come back soon. Thank you to all the staff.

Quite disappointed with recent visit. For $27 parking, you would hope it was undercover (it wasn't). If you pay for a full breakfast, it doesn't include coffee (you have to pay extra at the bar). Our fridge didn't work. I tried calling reception 3 times and after a 10 minute wait each time with no answer I gave up. Reception staff not as friendly as others. There are wires coming out of the elevator lift buttons - not great for safety. Other hotels have herbal tea or hot chocolate in the rooms, but supplies are very minimal here. The shower water pressure was like a dribble. I have environmental shower heads at home that are 3 times stronger than theirs. The beds are very comfortable though, so that was one redeeming feature.

Staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. The rooms are clean and well equipped. Beds and pillows are snuggle worthy. Very comfortable. The location is central and convenient. Worth pre booking the parking as the on street parking is quite limited. Breakfast is nice too.
