Location 10/10 walking distance to dozens of shops, cafes, restaurants, the casino, a lovely park. The service was absolutely fantastic. The staff are extremely accomodating. Parking is $32 a night which is a lot for Canberra. The rooms were really lovely, VERY quiet, even though on the second floor we couldn’t hear any street noise at all. The bathroom was a bit mouldy, the double beds are really tiny, my husband and I aren’t huge people and we had to sleep right next to each other all night otherwise we would’ve fallen off the edge, the beds are also extremely soft so all night I was constantly falling into my husband and the tiniest movement woke the other person up every time, we were also only given 3 pillows for 3 guests. We asked the front desk (which is manned 24/7) and they brought some up straight away. We ordered breakfast off the menu, it was pretty standard for a hotel breakfast, not the best but not terrible, we were a bit disappointed that they didn’t have barista coffee on offer as part of the breakfast. Was expensive as well at $90 for 3 people and no coffees. $9 each for a tiny little glass of juice.

Stayed here in Canberra on a deal that included a one-night stay, entry to the Ancient Egypt Exhibition, and a buffet breakfast. I must say, this experience exceeded all my expectations! The staff were exceptional, going above and beyond for any request I had, and even those I didn't. They upgraded my room at check-in just because, which was a lovely surprise. My partner and I arrived in Canberra early, and they graciously allowed us to check in early at no extra cost – a rare and much-appreciated gesture compared to other hotels that charge for this benefit. Their overall attitude towards guests was genuinely delightful. The only minor concern was the underground parking, which is quite small, especially when returning to the hotel around 8 PM on a Saturday night. We were very fortunate to find what seemed to be the last available spot. Despite paying for parking, I was unsure of what the alternative would be if the underground parking was full, as there didn't seem to be any backup options. That small issue aside, everything else was brilliant. The staff were top-notch, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the buffet breakfast had everything you could ask for, including barista-made coffee. What else can I say? If you stay here, you WON'T be disappointed!

Location is great, room is very dated, specifically the bathroom. Noticed a lot if reviews posted about this, so hope management is taking note. Would definitely not describe room as luxurious and our view was pretty ordinary. Restaurant meals were way overpriced for what you get. Very disappointing, won't be dining in again. Buffet breakfast is a good deal and quiet nice, lots of variety. Service so far has been ok.

The room was clean and the bedding was very comfortable, we all slept surprisingly well. The carpets and bathrooms are showing their age but the fantastic service from all hotel staff make up for the other small things that could be improved. Special thanks to the Manager Owen for taking the time to show us the room before we booked and for being so courteous and polite. The breakfast was good, selection from the buffet was good and again, all staff at breakfast were friendly and helpful. Yes, we can see the hotel room fixtures are showing their age, but the pricing was competitive. Overall, an enjoyable stay at the Crowne Plaza Canberra.

Great location in Canberra especially if you are attending the Canberra Theatre. Service by staff is excellent and rooms are very clean and tidy. When it is busy and events going on in town, parking can be hit and miss with availability. We were lucky with a car departing as we were looking for a spot. A number of other cars weren't so lucky. My main issue, at 5am my wife and I were woken up by the guest staying in the next room having a shower. No fault of the guest. The rooms must have walls made of paper. The shower noise was so loud. I have stayed in many hotels rooms both with work and pleasure, and this was by far the loudest I have ever experienced in all my years. I am not sure if it was poor room design or isolated to the room I was in. It was very disappointing to find in such a hotel. As an IHG member I have stayed in Crowne Plaza Hotels before so this is very odd.
