From ordinary to extraordinary! Unfortunately the government building site next door decided to do some late building works without advising the hotel. So there was some noise. So make sure when booking that you ensure you are on the view side overlooking Parliament House in the distance. The hotel quickly changed our room without anny fuss cause of the late night noise. So our experience just went from decent to outstanding thanks to a room change and some thoughtful vouchers. The new view is simply breathtaking and we couldn't be happier with our decision to choose this hotel. Kudos to the staff for going the extra mile and changing the room swiftly. Had a fantastic meal last night at the hotel and it was outstanding. The service, food and environment wonderful! Breakfast was just as good with massive servings. Staff are all attentive. Lovely hotel. The hotel has a twist of political decoration. Nice areas to sit and bar. Highly recommend

You will need the air conditioning on because the room was warm. Room was missing an alarm clock, the usual bedside bible. It could also do with a night light and more soap in the bathroom and spare sheets for sleeping. Dark carpets will show dirt easily. But generally the room was comfortable, functional and clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Upon arrival the refurbishment leaves a pleasant impression. It appears that the refurbishment has only been completed on the reception and dinning areas, as regrettably the room we stayed in was lacking good housekeeping I have since taken the time to read other reviews left and notice that the lack of hygiene/cleanliness to be an on going issue. I understand staff are under strict timelines to achieve tasks but in this case it appears more time is necessary to enable housekeeping to get on top of the cleaning required. Whilst businesses are still navigating the ‘COVID flu’, surely this is an opportune time for Management to address deep cleaning of the accommodation. Overall poor effort QT

I wish I could give this property less than 1 star! Stayed there two weeks ago and despite complaining, got an email with the exact word for word response as some of the reviews on google as well as the exact wording as my sister when she complained! We wanted to stay here after seeing that it had been refurbished, and worked out very quickly that the lobby and restaurant had been refurbished and that was where it ended. Was booked for 3 nights, stayed one. Would have left that night due to the nature of our room, but unfortunately it was very late at night. Dust EVERYWHERE! the place clearly hadn't been dusted in years. There was human and animal hair on the robes in the wardrobe, the floor in the bathroom was disgusting and hadn't been mopped, and the air con vents so full of dust that when we turned it on, it just spread the dust around. Even the minibar was covered in dust, so clearly the products hadn't been switched out! There were products in the shower for guest use, however the body soap was empty and the shampoo and conditioner was almost empty. I was staying with my sister who gets bad allergies and after 2 hrs in this room, her face swelled, and her nose was very badly blocked. She went to boil the kettle at one point and the kettle was full of dust and mould. When I rang the front desk to explain that we would be checking out I was told " Sorry you feel that way" and " We would offer you a different room, but it seems that you have made up your mind". I reiterated to the front desk that if it wasn't 10pm, we would be leaving right there and then. We then had a very uncomfortable night as we couldn't turn on the heater despite the weather getting into the minuses due to the dust and the noise from the lift, located right near our room, sounded like a jet engine all night! When we checked out in the morning, there wasn't an apology or anything they just processed the refund and we left. My sister ended up contracting allergic conjunctivitis and a bad sinus infection from the one night we spent there and had to the take the rest of the week off work. Have complained and seem to get a form letter response, and have not been contacted since. Will not stay there again

Our stay at QT Hotel in Canberra was outstanding! The true test of a hotel's quality is how they handle things when they go wrong, and QT Hotel passed with flying colors. We experienced a minor issue during our stay, but the staff's prompt and efficient response turned it into a positive experience. The team was incredibly professional and courteous, ensuring that the problem was resolved quickly and to our satisfaction. Their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident, and it made us feel valued and well taken care of. Apart from the excellent service, the hotel itself is fantastic. The rooms are stylish and comfortable, the amenities are top-notch, and the overall ambiance is both chic and welcoming. QT Hotel's commitment to exceptional service, especially in handling unexpected situations, makes it a standout choice. We highly recommend it and look forward to our next stay!
