5 star price for 4 star experience.... very disappointed Chose the Pullman as it is claimed to be a 5 star hotel (most definitely didn't meet that standard). 1. Bed was average. Old lumpy mattress. Ill-fitting mattress pillow-topper. 2. Lumpy pillows. When phoned room services to order a pillow off your pillow menu, told there was not available pillows. (Your assistant manager did manage to get us one the following day, but not really good enough, especially having a pillow menu option) 3. Shower made a horrible noise as the water ran. 4. Buffett breakfast was of mediocre quality at best. (The ability to order eggs was the only positive) 5. Dinner at your restaurant had poor service. Had prolonged waits at every stage. Too long to take an order. Too long for food to arrive. Never filled the water glasses. Didn't offer to take further drink orders. (The steak I had was quite nice, the only positive of the evening) 6. Room service took over an hour to deliver a cheese platter. Cheese platter was poor. Overall, very dissatisfied with my experience at the Pullman. Would certainly not recommend.
1st room we were put in was right on the lifts(which was requested not to be near) and the room smelled badly like urine. We were moved to another room which was more satisfactory however, for the price would consider it average. The restaurant food was good, however the service was ordinary.
I had come to stay for the convenience of competing at a nearby venue across the weekend. I was tight on time and found staff to be efficient and accommodating. I appreciated the option of leaving my bags there on checkout day and returning to use the shower facilities in the gym at the end of the day. Room service was good and efficient. Room was clean & neat with everything I needed. Zero complaints.
I stayed just the one night at the Pullman, the staff were friendly and efficient, the room was clean, comfortable and well equipped. I had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, both meals were nice, but the evening meal was pretty special. The restaurant team on both shifts were attentive but not invasive; so full marks there. Check out was simple, overall a relaxing and easy stay.
Booked under my husbands name to take advantage of Accor - but then husband couldnt attend, so they made us cancel the booking to put the booking into my name, they didnt answer the phone, when it was eventually answered, the person said they couldnt take the booking. Then we get to the hotel they wouldnt accept by husband's business credit card. OK no issue, but the 'manager' was unhelpful, couldnt wear a smile and since then just puts her head down when we walk past. No meeting or greeting or a good morning, terrible service. We have been here a heap of times, but not coming back. Still staying in the hotel, and honestly, it needs a refresh. My colleague has a dead rat smell in her bathroom, so they came up after 20 minute to spray it. not good enough.
