5 star price for 4 star experience.... very disappointed Chose the Pullman as it is claimed to be a 5 star hotel (most definitely didn't meet that standard). 1. Bed was average. Old lumpy mattress. Ill-fitting mattress pillow-topper. 2. Lumpy pillows. When phoned room services to order a pillow off your pillow menu, told there was not available pillows. (Your assistant manager did manage to get us one the following day, but not really good enough, especially having a pillow menu option) 3. Shower made a horrible noise as the water ran. 4. Buffett breakfast was of mediocre quality at best. (The ability to order eggs was the only positive) 5. Dinner at your restaurant had poor service. Had prolonged waits at every stage. Too long to take an order. Too long for food to arrive. Never filled the water glasses. Didn't offer to take further drink orders. (The steak I had was quite nice, the only positive of the evening) 6. Room service took over an hour to deliver a cheese platter. Cheese platter was poor. Overall, very dissatisfied with my experience at the Pullman. Would certainly not recommend.
Had a fantastic meal at Bacar Restaurant in the Pullman! The food was delicious and beautifully presented, with some great options to choose from. The atmosphere was relaxed yet classy, and the staff were friendly and attentive without being over the top. Perfect spot for a special night out or a nice dinner with friends. Would definitely come back!
Great location but disappointing service for a 5-star hotel experience. We recently stayed at this hotel for the Coldplay concert, and while the location was absolutely ideal—right next to the stadium—the service fell short, especially given the premium price we paid for our two-night stay. The biggest positive was the convenience of the location, making it easy to get to the concert. However, room service and breakfast service did not meet the expectations of a 5-star experience. The buffet breakfast comes with the option to have eggs cooked on request, and we didn’t receive everything we ordered. When we checked with a staff member, we were told they’d be out in “2-3 minutes.” Unfortunately, they never came, and after finishing our meal, we left disappointed. Room service was also frustrating. Only one roll of toilet paper was provided for our 2-night stay, and when we ran out, we called twice and followed up at reception twice. We waited more than an hour, nearly two hours for basic essentials like toilet paper and tissue, which, for a premium-priced hotel, is unexpected. The young man who eventually brought the items apologised, explaining he was very busy, though it felt like an issue of staffing. Given that the concert had been planned for over a year, we expected the hotel to be well-prepared for the influx of guests. Overall, while the location is perfect for anyone attending an event at the stadium, the service didn’t match the premium price or 5-star experience we anticipated.
Pullman SOP has always been a family favourite hotel location, with many stays over the past 15+ years. The Pullman SOP Team is the difference...PEOPLE are the difference. We always have memorable experiences with the people (team) at the hotel. You can have a great hotel with a great location, but...if you don't have the right people...it will be just another hotel. As discussed with the current management team onsite, the hotel is in need of some refurbishments in the obvious areas, rooms included. We will be back...and even more excited with some fresh new additions. Thank you Pullman SOP.
1st room we were put in was right on the lifts(which was requested not to be near) and the room smelled badly like urine. We were moved to another room which was more satisfactory however, for the price would consider it average. The restaurant food was good, however the service was ordinary.
