We had a lovely stay! The hotel has a fantastic location—close to the beach and the city centre. The service was excellent; staff were always polite and quick to respond to any of our requests. A special touch was the complimentary bottle of wine for my husband's birthday, which we truly appreciated.

Wollongong's crown jewel! This hotel never fails to impress during our visits to the Gong. We were thrilled to receive a complimentary upgrade, which made our stay even more special. The friendly and attentive staff consistently go above and beyond. Plus, free parking outside is a fantastic bonus! The elevators whisk you up in no time, the beds are incredibly comfy, and the views from the balcony are simply stunning. Everything was spotless, and those hot showers were just what we needed after a long day. Thank you so much for another amazing experience, Sage! Can't wait for our next visit!

**5 out of 5 stars** We stayed at the Sage Hotel Wollongong during a very difficult time following the passing of my father, and I cannot speak highly enough of the incredible care and compassion we received from the staff. Aaron, Becky, and Thomas went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Becky handled our changing reservation needs with such grace and patience—it truly made a difference. Thomas was incredibly kind and thoughtful; when I mentioned my eyes were puffy from crying and asked if the hotel might have some cucumber, he personally delivered freshly sliced cucumber to our room within minutes. Aaron and Thomas were a constant source of support, reminding me each time we passed through reception that they were there if we needed anything. Their empathy, attentiveness, and genuine kindness turned what could have been a very hard experience into something full of warmth and care. I’m so grateful for everything they did, and I will always remember how they helped us through this time. The hotel is also so lovely, our room was comfortable, clean and well serviced throughout our stay. Highly recommend staying at the Sage Hotel Wollongong, it’s centrally located and we were able to walk almost everywhere. Thank you, Sage Hotel team.

Great location. Great food with room service dinner. Continental breakfast in restaurant included with room. Rooms are a little dated for the cost of the room and the shower is awful in terms of water pressure and the low height of the shower head. Please also buy some new towels that aren't almost falling to pieces.

Disappointing.. Everything seemed to have a $$ add on. When we booked the accommodation it seemed to be a pretty good price, but once we got there things just kept adding up. Breakfast was a real let down. If you wanted hot food it was an add on, if you wanted coffee, an add on. Parking was an add on each night for $25. If you want room service, be ready for a hefty fee charge. I might have been somewhat okay with it if the food was actually good. It was really bad, pork belly was completely burnt at the bottom and the fat was not rendered down. So very chewy and not hot when it arrived in our room, sliders were small and hardly had anything inside. Chips were good and the chocolate lava cake was overcooked and dry with cold chocolate topping and ice cream was melted. Just poor excuse and felt like the didn't care, the way things were cooked made me question what kind of chef would think that's worth sending out? For the first 4 days of our stay the TV wasn't working properly and all the main channels were static, I wanted to complain but it slipped my mind as we were busy throughout the days and didn't get home till later on. We mainly watched SBS Food. If you are on a lower level floor, you'll need to get used to thin walls and being able to hear neighbours talking etc. unfortunately we had a crying child (this was only for 1 night as we came up 1 day early) but we moved up to level 11 the next day for our 5 day stay. Bathrooms were rusty and dirty (Shower, drains, towel rails). The towel rail is in a weird spot right next to the toilet in which the toilet roll is almost behind the toilet, very awkward spot. Only 1 power point in the bathroom, behind the door on the wall (these should be near the sink/mirror). We got a rollaway bed for 2 nights. The single mattress was so bad, it felt like I was sleeping on a fence. So uncomfortable. I had to put 3 pillows down on it to get comfortable. That's $60 a night, for that uncomfortable fence mattress! (We asked for a discount - as at this point we had spent alot of money there already and they allowed it) Although we were disappointed in all of that, the staff were nice. It's definitely not a 3.8 hotel, like the rating has on Google says, so please don't expect that. The location is really what you are paying for. It is close to everything and can walk to the beach. Despite all this my husband and I still had a great holiday but we have learned our lesson and will not be back.
