The hotel is conveniently located to the waterfront, restaurants and some attractions. Our room appeared to be recently updated with everything in good condition. The room was reasonably clean but there were areas that needed more attention. While I’m usually saying the lighting in hotel rooms needs to be brighter, here there needs to be an ability to dim or turn off some lights. Plenty of outlets but no USB outlets. The toilet seat doesn’t seem to quite fit the toilet. No ice machines on the floors. You go to the bar or restaurant to get ice. If you want it delivered to your room there is a charge. The hotel has a pool but it was way too cold to go swimming. The included buffet breakfast was nice with an omelet station. The front desk staff were helpful and efficient. Overall a nice staff but for the price you expect more attention to detail. Note: The Hilton Darwin is a cashless hotel. Despite this they charge a 2% credit card fee. They do not accept cash

Stayed at the Hilton Darwin on a business trip. Lya at the front desk was very helpful, hospitable, friendly, and accommodating. Everyone at Reception are really worth mentioning! We were pleased with the professional customer service! Robyn at the Executive Lounge was also receptive and treated her guests with care and attention. Service by the waitstaff during the conference was seamless and attentive. Corina (I hope I got her name right!) was efficient and charming at morning coffee. Thank you to the front liners for making my stay a great one!

I stayed at the hotel for several days. The reception team were excellent, the breakfast was average, and the executive lounge team - flawless. I particularly disappointed with housekeeping. Housekeeping left a note under my door saying I could have my room cleaned anytime before 3pm (my do not disturb sign was up). When I called to have my room cleaned at 2pm, I was told that all the cleaners had gone home. My room wasn’t cleaned the previous day as I was working in my room until just after 3pm. While this was not the hotel’s fault, I told reception that cleaning my room the following day was important for me, as I had a friend coming to stay. The breakfasts were disorganised and understaffed. On one occasion, there were no pastries. When I asked for some, to my surprise, I was told things were not being replenished because ‘breakfast ends in 15 minutes’. What time does breakfast actually finish then? It was not just pastries, there was no smoked salmon, the coffee machine needed milk etc. Despite the problems i encountered, based on my interactions with reception throughout my stay and upon checkout, I would likely stay at the hotel again. I left feeling that my feedback had been genuinely taken onboard, and that perhaps, the problems I encountered were to do with Easter staffing.

Good central location in Darwin for walking around. The room was comfortable and had 2 outlets on each side of the bed. The shower pressure was average. Note - the bar closes at 10 so make sure you have a crink by then.
