Absolutely beautiful location, we had the best time with our family here. It’s a very nice peaceful place with lots of activities to do to, so you get the best of both. The staff are amazing and very friendly and welcoming, probably the best we’ve ever experienced in a resort. The food is great and would definitely recommend having the buffet breakfast. The rooms do need updating though and a little overpriced, but we will definitely come back.
Beautiful!!! We spent a few nights in one of the villas. The room was just as advertised. Clean, spacious, and everything in good working order. Gorgeous view of the beach. Very comfortable. The beach is second to none. We dove the wrecks (visibility not great and was the "norm" per our guide). My kids did discovery dives and were able to dive with us as a group. Kitty was great with them!! Saw several wobbegong sharks, turtles, and tons of cool fish. Dolphin feeding was really cool! So fun to watch the dolphins come in at night and hang out. ATVs were pretty good. We were lucky to get a more experienced group (just our family and 1 other), so we got to go faster and play around more. Dessert Safari tour was just okay. The experience was cool, but the packed bus ride up did not have AC or windows that opened. Someone said it was 46° by the time we got to the hill. We were not a fan of our guide. He made a lot of jokes and it was hard to tell what was actually true. I thought he was joking about the AC :( Banana boat was WAY more fun than we could have imagined! It was a random spur of the moment add on for us, that the kids weren't really excited about, but at the end of our full vacation (several places in Australia), this was one of the best memories of fun! The store had just enough to keep our diet varied, though planning ahead for dinners would be smart. Not everything was perfect, but the whole was incredible. All in all, if this isn't on your bucket list yet, it should be.
I was expecting some luxury, but it is quite a simple place, with no room services, bad internet connection. Communication is good, services for what was required also good. Bring your own food during the weekend because options are all junk food, nothing else. Beautiful Island, lots of paid activities.
The food at the grill was outstanding. I am sincere when I say the grilled chicken there is the best that I have ever had in my life. The salad and potato halves were wonderful. The dolphin feeding was something to see. The boat ride was pleasant and refreshing.
While the location and service are fantastic—staff are friendly, helpful, and the water is beautiful—unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The rooms are in dire need of maintenance. There was an ant infestation, vomit stains on the walls, and dirt everywhere. It felt like the cleaners only swapped out the sheets, as we ran out of basic supplies like shampoo and conditioner with no replacements. The noise insulation in the rooms is poor, and you can hear everything from your neighbors, making it nearly impossible to get a good night’s sleep. Coupled with the constant ant bites, it turned into a real nightmare. On top of that, everything here is extremely overpriced, and the food at the resort is subpar at best. We asked for additional towels, but were told it would cost $5 per towel, even though these were just temporary replacements, not keepers. All the drains are clogged and the water from the shower wasn’t draining which is why we needed the towels. But, beach towels are free??? All in all, while the resort has great potential, there’s a lot of room for improvement, especially when it comes to cleanliness, room maintenance, and the overall value for money.
