Been here twice now, once just before COVID and just this week. We enjoyed the stay. We did the snorkeling tour, the night cruise and the day safari tour, which were all excellent. The food options remain limited and overpriced... but we really enjoyed the beach bbq... Shame it only opens Wednesday to Sunday. Definitely will come back again in the near future.
This is a very mixed review and I would urge all reading this to take my points into considerations We visited Tangalooma for a day trip today and had the ATV Quad Bikes booked and Dolphin Feeding. We got the 10am ferry which was fine, however it wasn’t clear our quad biking would be at 4pm, meaning we had a few hours to “kill”. This wasn’t an issue as such, just an oversight which could have been clearer. The Quad bikes was great - huge kudos to the team for being so engaging! The dolphin feeding was a disappointment I will say - we paid for two tickets and only one of us was allowed to feed the fish. Considering we paid a substantial amount for this “main event” it was a shame that one of us had to sacrifice the experience. The whole management was a shambles really especially when we had travelled SO far to be there. A very very lovely family offered us one of their “tickets”/places which was met with push-back by the team, meaning I could feed the dolphin as I had initially not been able to. The lady who was managing the situation was not polite and had no understanding or emotional intelligence at this point. I explained the situation and she called a chap over who said it was fine for me the family to very kindly give me their space. As I stepped closer to the beach, the chap very rudely told me “not to be rude to his staff”, which I hadn’t been, in the slightest, I was explaining the situation which she had not understood - me going into the water with my partner initially is NOT what I paid for - we paid for two tickets. I really though this comment and attitude was unprofessional. The management was poor - if there were too many people today then they should have managed this more appropriately and not missold the ticket and/or made this clear from the off-set. Apart from dolphin feeding situation - the experience was lovely and the island truly is wonderful.
We were 2 families planned our dinner at Beachside BBQ; we ordered separately exactly same meal as it wasn’t much choice. The 1st order was ready around 8-10minutes—however, 2nd family order which was only 2 meals. We waited almost 1 hour, when we asked the staff, they were saying that we needed to wait. The orders were ready, and people were taking the meals. The chef only gave us our meals just before closing the shop. When I made the complaint, she said that I could refund my money or that I needed to wait. Which is fully not acceptable to propose for the clients after 1 hour. The guide recommended for us Illuminated Wrecks Tour Shipwrecks Cruise / Marine Discovery Cruise / or Fish Feeding Cruise, saying that this is one of the best tours which he want recommend. Waste of money and time, nothing to do, can’t see anything. The guides were chatting which each other. I am very disappointed with wasting time and money. NOT RECCOMENDED AT ALL. The ATV Quad Bike Tour was the best of the best. I would recommend all families to try. The Parasailing adventure was good. However, the guide said that no phone, no action camera nothing is allowed due to they have a camera and they will do good photos. when we are back and checked the photos, non of them are good quality. All of them were not clear or black cant see clear image. after that they said one photo is around 20bucks. The resort staff were not friendly with clients, almost angry with some of them. Other guests sharing same experience with me as well. The food was average could be better, and everything is cost me something. Even the small things they are asking the money, money and money.
Fantastic day . 10am ferry over 4pm ferry back. Only wished we had more time on thy island. Loved the quad bike ride. Everyone staff member was very nice. Was told the lunch could be 40 minutes from ordering as they were extremely, but only took 10 minutes. Good sized portions, good seafood baskets and tasty grilled chicken burger.
Absolutely beautiful location, we had the best time with our family here. It’s a very nice peaceful place with lots of activities to do to, so you get the best of both. The staff are amazing and very friendly and welcoming, probably the best we’ve ever experienced in a resort. The food is great and would definitely recommend having the buffet breakfast. The rooms do need updating though and a little overpriced, but we will definitely come back.
