This has potential to be great, but the way the bookings work is a massive rip off. 2 of us went, we paid $70 for 25mins, so about 12mins of play each. If I’d gone alone I would have paid only $35 and gotten the full 25mins of play. If 3 of us had gone we’d have paid $105 for 55mins roughly 15mins of play each. But 6 people would get 55mins but be charged $210 instead and each player gets less than 9mins of play each. With out experience when we scanned the menu it said food takes roughly 30mins (and this was in a quiet period) which was basically our entire cage booking done, we also had 1 drink each because the booking didn’t really give us time to relax. The owners need to seriously think about changing to model to charging by time span and just recommending what’s suited for what size groups. This would also make it more enjoyable AND we’d spend money on food and drinks instead rushing. The place itself is great, the staff were super friendly, very clean, the food was a bit cold but we had to shovel it into our mouths so fast i can’t even remember it.

This place is fine, I think there is still a lot of room for improvement but the overall experience is not bad. The batting experience is still overpriced (they've already dropped the prices once but I think there is still room for it to drop more for this to be worthwhile) and the set up they have isn't ideal compared to the outdoor cages I've played at in Japan. I'm not sure if it's possible to change the software for the cage to give you more of an idea of exactly when the ball is going to be pitched at you - there is currently a countdown timer but it's not super accurate and there is too much guessing involved in when the ball is actually released - so you're really just using your reactions as the ball pops out and can't really prepare yourself to time each pitch properly when using the higher speeds (at lower speeds there is more than enough time but that really makes this more of a novelty experience and takes a bit of the fun out of it). We stuck around after and shot some pool and had a few drinks and the service and atmosphere was good, and the drinks were fairly priced for the location (everything in Portside is expensive). Just one other note - the air conditioning could use an upgrade, maybe add a couple more units around the venue to keep it a little cooler.

GREAT customer service from booking to attending and throughout. Very accommodating, bubbly and friendly staff, the house crisp lager was an excellent refreshing beer choice, and like the name - crisp! The activities are great and so well priced making it easy and affordable for all sorts of events from dates to company team building and catching up with mates. Will be returning soon! Very happy :)

This is awesome! Thought the bookings system was perfect. We went with 4 of us and got to bat for an hour, it was more than enough time for us. We loved that they had customisation for my home team (Seattle Mariners) and loved the customer service. It’s a nice big venue that didn’t feel claustrophobic or too loud for those of us with sensory issues. The staff honestly really made it too - the two women we met were kind, helpful, and fun. If we lived closer it would become our regular hang out, but we’re still gonna come back heaps even with it being a bit of a drive for us. Best date night in ages!!!

We had a group of 7, paid $35 each and spent 85 mins here and it was an awesome morning out for our family. Ages range between 16 and 45. Highly recommend especially if you have a large group. You must try the salmon bagel 100%!!!!! We will be back.
