Our recent stay here was disappointing. The receptionists (apart from one) were mostly unfriendly and did not seem willing to work, and the room's cleanliness was lacking, with dirty linens and an unclean toilet. The building feels quite dated and could use renovations. On the positive, the location is fairly decent. The negatives, however, overshadowed the positives. Would recommend looking elsewhere until improvements are made.
While very conveniently located near the railway station, this hotel was not great for our group stay. It has 2 very small elevators which trip out when "overloaded" with 5 people. No decaf coffee in the bedroom, and it has to be requested specially at breakfast. Some of the staff were extremely rude to us. No staff wear name badges so no accountability. Nice Google TV in the bedroom but it's WiFi kept dropping, resulting in poor experience. Breakfast selection was mediocre. Towels were thin, scratchy and very quickly got too wet to be useful.
Stayed here two nights to attend a wedding. Great location being near Southern Cross Station. Rooms are decent but decor is a bit outdated with poor colour choices. Bed and bathroom is good. Breakfast is basic and we skip it the next day. There are a lot of breakfast places in the city. Big dissatisfaction is that they did not clean my room on Saturday despite us being out most of the day. When asked, they said that the cleaners only worked till 1 pm on Saturday! Very poor management. As a platinum member of Accor, this is my least favourite hotel and I have been to many. I would avoid this hotel and stick the normal Accor brand like Mercure and Novotel. It was a red hot deal when I booked it and thought I had a bargain but the reduced rate is all that is worth.
We stayed at this hotel for six nights from January 27 to February 2, 2025. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and loved our room. However, the breakfast at the café was disappointing, as the buffet selection remained the same every day. Having identical options for six consecutive mornings became quite monotonous. Additionally, most of the reception staff were not particularly helpful, with the exception of two Asian gentlemen who provided exceptional service. One of the gentlemen is in the last picture, another one I believe is called "Erik"? They are really good.
Had a good experience here. The room was good, a bit smaller than I expected but still comfortable. The beds were clean, goodness the decor did feel a little outdated. There was also a smell in the hallways that was not nice. The hot water also takes a while to become warm, I think it took 3 minutes for me in the shower. The shower and bathroom were very small. The staff were helpful and very quick to service. The phone in my room didn't work so I couldn't call them though when I needed help in my room. The location is wonderful, very central in the city and lots of transport and food options nearby.
