•Melbourne's Hotel Grand Chancellor is a four-star boutique hotel found right in the vibrant, beating heart of the city - in the theatre precinct, in the gateway to Chinatown, and within a stone's throw of the business district. Aside from being immensely popular with those visiting Melbourne to take in the sights, sounds and culture of the city on holiday, the Hotel Grand Chancellor also features a number of spaces for meetings and events. Six well appointed meeting rooms provide space to get the team or key stakeholders together away from the confines of the office. When it comes to larger events - like banquets or conferences - the Hotel Grand Chancellor easily hosts them too. Grand Chancellor Melbourne: Perfect Location & Impeccable Service The Grand Chancellor Hotel in Melbourne has an unbeatable location! It's a short walk to Chinatown, theatres, the Greek Quarter, shopping, and those charming Melbourne laneways. I loved being close to the action but still having a quiet room for a good night's sleep. What made my week-long stay truly special was the impeccable service. Every staff member, from the concierge to the cleaning team, was discreet, and attentive, and genuinely made me feel at home. They anticipated my needs before I even had to ask – my room was always immaculately cleaned and stocked with everything I needed. I stayed in a Superior Queen Room, which was spacious, comfortable, and had a lovely balcony. Highly recommend the Grand Chancellor Melbourne for a luxurious and convenient stay.
Great place to stay Comfy bed Friendly staff Only bad thing is the balcony. Specifically wanted one where we could sit and have morning coffee.. It's is not much bigger than the aircon unit out there..no room for even one chair. No pictures on the website. Just says they have balconies. They should disclose just how small they are.
The staff here were very friendly and helpful while we were staying here. Lawrence in particular helped us with finding parking spaces and organising our luggage to be held even after we checked out to help us on our last day. While we were there, there was some construction going on that would continue over the weekends, so sleeping in wasn’t an option. It was very loud and one of the days we had to take the stairs because they were working on the elevators. Though this wasn’t an issue for us, I do feel for anyone who needs mobility aids or other disabilities that would not be able to make it to their rooms. The rooms were alright but the real downfall was the bathroom. The shower did not have a door and spilled water out everywhere. The poor design meant we had to ask for extra towels so that we didn’t slip on the floor after each shower. The water also made the toilet seats wet and cold. Although the rooms were quite underwhelming, the location and price that we got it for was amazing. Right in the centre of Melbourne near everything you want it to be near, it’s hard to ask for more than that!
Stayed here in November. Firstly the location was perfect for me, I could walk straight out into some of Melbournes most popular areas. The trams are free in the CBD. The hotel in general needed a bit of a refresh. It didn’t help the pool’s out of action, the lift for my floor was through some staff entrance due to the normal ones being fixed. The room however was very nice, clean, spacious and comfortable. I used the gym which is basic and lacked air con so had to make the best of a fan, but I managed to do an hour on the cable machine. I’d probably try somewhere different next time, but I did enjoy my stay here.
We have stayed here multiple times. This time however we were slightly disappointed. Yes there are upgrades happening and it’s a bit awkward to get to some rooms. The bed: 2 ⭐️ Not a good sleep at all this time due to the mattress but clean. The toilet space is horrible and the shower water pressure was really bad. Service: 4⭐️ Friendly and Polite Parking: 0⭐️ There was No parking(apparently) spots left in the carpark next to the motel($40) so we were sent down a block to the other carpark which cost $73 😠 Maybe the hotel could use the customers booking number to secure car parking 🅿️ spaces for their overnight stays. Location: 5⭐️ The breakfast bar on the way out looked awesome and yum 👍
