We recently celebrated my cousin’s birthday at Le Ciel Events, and it was an incredible experience! The venue is absolutely stunning, with a modern, elegant vibe that made the party feel so special. The staff went above and beyond, ensuring every detail was taken care of, making the day stress-free for us. Le Ciel is truly one of Melbourne’s best-kept secrets! We had an amazing night at this stunning venue, and it exceeded all of our expectations. The event space in Cremorne is absolutely beautiful, with a stylish and modern atmosphere that creates the perfect backdrop for any event. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. From start to finish, it was a 10 out of 10 experience for us! Highly recommend this hidden gem for anyone looking to host a special event.
Our experience at Le Ciel for our wedding on 08/11/24 was nothing short of disappointing and upsetting. What should have been one of the happiest days of our lives was marred by poor management and unprofessional behaviour from Maria. (Venue Manager) The list of issues is extensive: Lack of Accountability: We repeatedly requested the glass doors on Level 6 be opened, which was ignored for an hour and a half. This caused unnecessary frustration. Vendor Mistreatment: Multiple vendors reported being treated rudely, with one even leaving in tears. Maria failed to attend a scheduled meeting with our decorations manager, forcing them to reschedule after waiting for over an hour. This lack of respect is unacceptable. Faulty Lift: The elevator broke down during our event, trapping guests for nearly an hour. To make matters worse, it was not registered with emergency services, and the emergency phone didn’t work. This kind of negligence is shocking. No Venue Manager: Despite assurances that someone would oversee operations, there was no manager on-site. This left us scrambling to manage basic needs like lighting and heating. Last-Minute Setup Changes: We were informed last minute that our scheduled setup time might not be possible due to another potential booking, causing significant disruption to our plans. Maria’s dismissive and rude behavior added unnecessary stress to an already overwhelming day. The $5,500 venue rental fee is appalling, considering the lack of professionalism and basic service provided. We cannot recommend Le Ciel to anyone looking for a seamless, joyous wedding experience. Management needs to take accountability and drastically improve their operations.
It’s such a pleasure when a client books me at Le Ciel not only is the venue outstanding it really has a beautiful ambience. The owner is lovely to deal with! I do hope to continue doing events at this venue.
To say I am disappointed is an understatement . My wedding was set to take place at Le Ciel and it was the worst decision possible. We had previously viewed the venue twice and initially thought the views are immaculate , only to be overshadowed by the venue managers (Maria Ktori) unprofessional conduct. We had issues with the doors on level 6 being un opened on the day which I had discussed as my vision for the venue on previous viewings. Once on the phone I was told the only person who could do this was her and she was in Sydney. We had no venue manager or anyone to help on the day and were left in the dark. The way she spoke on the phone to us was appalling! It was not the first time as she had been rude to all of my vendors because I hadn't used her recommended sources. She tried to set me against my picks and make it as difficult as possible. Even leaving one in tears! There were issues with the elevators which left 5 of my guests trapped. After the fire department shut down the elevator my disabled guests were left with no access to the bathrooms upstairs for the remaining 4 hours of the event. Do not book this venue! Response to further comments” We had been offered early access to the venue the night before. After locking this in we had been stuffed around saying there would be a possible engagement in the venue. We had family coming from far to be able to set the venue up and we’re only given the go ahead hours before. On our previous viewings there was mention by Maria herself that there would be someone to co ordinate with on the day if she wasn’t available. Steven from Mr bartender was not even aware he had been made our point of contact. There should have been no surprise about the glass doors as this had been mentioned at our previous meetings multiple times. 5.30 pm is when we first arrived to the venue and was told nothing could be done at all. After almost 2 hours the windows were eventually opened which pushed the ceremony and event back. We have a call log on 2 -3 seperate phones with over 10x trying to get ahold of Maria with no contact back. In terms of the catering, the food was not left out until 12.30pm everything was put in to take away boxes for us a long time before 12.30am. Maria knows exactly who my vendors are and has everyone’s details. Every single one our my vendors have been affected by Maria’s poor attitude towards them. We have tried to email outlining our concerns and have not received any reply. Everyone that has made a review shares our concerns, as I can see you have also reached out to others to get your reviews up.”
