Extremely friendly staff and also helpful and understanding. My first room wasn’t nice as it looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned in a while but got upgraded and that room was 10x better. Front desk staff were very helpful and sorry about the situation. Definitely recommend for a quick stay in the city.

It's alright for the price. I came here with my SO for an event. The event was beautiful! ✨ The bar staff were very nice & polite! 😊 Here are a few things that could've been improved: 1) The bar closed very early for the event. 2) The front desk staff were not particularly attentive. 3) The accessibility room shower area was very small, so our clothes and other things in the bathroom would get wet while we showered. 4) The carpark wasn't particularly wheelchair accessible.

Having stayed at this hotel numerous times since 2019 I have to say I'm pretty disappointed by this latest stay. I don't know if management has changed in the 18 months since my last stay or what has happened but it wasn't good. Normally I book a superior room, but as this was a short visit and I would mostly be out of the room I decided to save a few dollars and get a standard room. Big mistake. The difference in quality of the two types of rooms is astounding. This was no more than a glorified hostel room. The air-con didn't work (thankfully the windows opened, not that I wanted to leave them open as there were no screens on the windows to stop flies and other bugs coming in), the window in the bathroom couldn't be closed because the handle was out of reach so I had to just live with bugs coming in while showering in the evening, the bed was really uncomfortable, the TV didn't work and there was no phone in the room. I had to google the hotel to get the number for reception to order room service on my first night. Not what you want after a long day of driving from Sydney. And on the room service, it was absolutely terrible, and did not match the description on the menu. I thought I ordered the Line Caught Barramundi on a bed of green salad with chorizo, whole potatos and a vinaigrette. What I actually got was a piece of generic white fish (it was NOT barramundi) so drowned in lemon & pepper it was hard to eat, some steamed veggies that were basically raw (seriously, I was unable to cut the carrot or brocolli with my knife, it was so hard) and some cold mashed potatoes. No sign of the green salad or whole potatoes. The chorizo was at least there, albeit in an almost inedible, overcooked state. It was a real let-down as the room service on all of my previous visits has been pretty good. The barista coffee downstairs in the morning was also terrible and way too expensive but I had no other option as I needed to leave early for work each day and the instant coffee and sugar in my room was pitiful (the sugar packs were so old the sugar had totally solidified, even after squeezing and banging on the bench). All in all it was a really disappointing stay and I'll seriously reconsider staying again, which is a shame because it's a really conveniently located hotel and all previous stays had been so good! If I do come back I'll try a superior room again but I won't dare bother with room service, I'll stick to Uber Eats.

Stayed here overnight in Room 220. It's a very comfortable room with two double beds, desk, single chair, flat screen TV, several power points and USB ports, mini fridge, kettle, bathroom, shower, bath and toilet. The shower was okay but pretty average and needs to be updated. The water flow through the shower head wasn't very good. And there's no power to the exhaust fan. The elevator is very old and outdated but works perfectly fine. It could use upgrading/replacing though. We had dinner at the Polo Cafe located opposite reception. It's a very lovely space with candles and mood lighting. The prices of the meals were reasonable and not too expensive. Room service is also available as well as undercover car parking. Check in/check out was fairly easy and straight forward. Located very close to the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Women's Hospital.

We needed to attend the RCH nearby, so the location was great. Staff were fantastic & very friendly - especially to my super nervous child. The facilities were fine, but not great. The aircon didn’t work, we had several issues with the tv.
