•Located in a not-so-little building is the inviting Little Henri. An ode to Sir Henry Northcote, our space is built as a nod to the balance between old and new that Melbourne is so well known for. Distressed finishes, industrial-styled walls, warm wooden accessories, large leafy courtyard and the original safe door that pays homage to Little Henri’s former life as the local bank add to the warmth that all guests feel when they are welcomed inside.
Little Henri’s open and flowing spaces can accommodate a myriad of functions; from 3 course dinners for 70 people inside the main dining room or a contemporary, standing affair that takes in both our restaurant and the courtyards outside fo...

What a hidden gem! Meeting my coworker in between clients as we’re in the area searching for cafes around us and we came across Little Henri. We are so glad we chose to check them out. They did not disappoint!! Service was amazing, staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. Especially the gentleman sorry didn’t get his name. Food, wow one of the best zucchini corn fritters I’ve ever had, I also added a side of mushroom. Demolished it! Absolutely divine my friend had the New York bagel and thoroughly enjoyed her meal. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. We had to snoop on everyone’s meals around us when we were seated and were shook with the generous portion sizes! I also had a chai which wasn’t as strong which was the only let down for me I even tried to let it brew for longer but it just wasn’t strong for me unfortunately. But that won’t stop me from coming back. Toilets were also very well maintained and clean. Full house while we were there so that definitely is a good sign.
Beautiful cafe but disappointed with our food and service. The cafe had lots of vegetarian options which was a positive and a lovely atmosphere. I tried the Summer Bruschetta ($25) which just wasn't all that great.
We had the most incredible wedding at Little Henri in Thornbury, and we couldn’t have asked for a better venue. The combination of lush greenery in the courtyard and the vintage charm inside made it the perfect setting for our special day. Samira, the events manager, was an absolute gem—reliable, organised, and made everything run smoothly. For our ceremony, we opted to say our vows in front of the French doors, and it was absolutely stunning, especially with the perfect weather we had. The only minor thing to keep in mind if you choose this spot is the logistics of the bride’s entrance. There’s no designated waiting area for the bride other than the car, so it can be a little tricky to coordinate. Also, guests who arrive very close to the start time will be directed to enter via the back gate to allow the staff time to put up a curtain behind the French doors. We had the cocktail food option and added a grazing table, the food was fantastic! There was a slight hiccup with a few guests missing out on some of the food trays—perhaps due to staffing or where the guests were situated at the venue —but this didn’t overshadow the overall excellent experience. The venue was also very accommodating with dietary restrictions, which we really appreciated. The outdoor courtyard was also very beautiful with fairylights in the late evening. Overall, we’re so happy we chose Little Henri. It offered everything we wanted in a wedding venue—charming, flexible, and with options in case the Melbourne weather didn’t cooperate. It was the perfect size for our celebration and offered a unique, memorable experience.
