We really enjoyed our stay at the Nesuto Curtin. It's an interesting vibe being within the University during break, and a lovely balcony. The uncovered services and concrete ceiling is a bit startling in the corridors and rooms though - but that's Curtin University for you for those that know. One minor complaint is that it could be clearer that the tiny section in front of the hotel is where you're meant to unload during checkout, and that unless you ask, there's no sign of a trolley. We had a lot of telescopes and stuff to unload and while it was sorted in the end, knowing ahead of time would have been better. Sadly the breakfast buffet will be no go to the travelling coeliac, but there's a nearby IGA and also an Italian restaraunt nearby that does GF pasta dishes. Suggested advice to give re the parking: "Pull in to the small bay directly in front of the hotel, and come and check in. We'll give you a trolley to unload your stuff and then you can go park in the assigned parking or find your own as per your wishes" Because to the uninformed all the roadmarkings suggest that something horrible will happen to you if you park there. Thanks, we had a lovely time!
Better than most business hotels I have stayed at, and at a very reasonable price. I was lucky to get a room over the weekend before Christmas, and parking was free because the college kids were on hols and it was a weekend. Pleasantly surprised, and will definitely consider staying here again.
Yes, it is great location esp. if you’re attending events or doing activities at Curtin Uni campus. However, I had to survive without aircon for 3 nights and slept with my balcony door open as they were hot days. Was told that hotel was fully booked, so they couldn’t relocate me to another room. But the worst was being told that aircon at all rooms on the same level as my room were not working - which was not true because I met and talked to someone whose room’s aircon worked well! Very annoyed, unprofessional customer service!
The room and hotel are very clean and present nicely for a one night stay. However, there were far too many issues with the staff for a one night stay. I called prior to arrival to check for parking as on there website it says to contact about parking and when I asked the question, the man laughed on the other end of the phone and said “we will help you when you get here”. I was quite annoyed at this already but then when I got to Curtin, there was a massive event on where roads had been blocked off and I was not notified once about this. I called again to say that I am struggling to find parking and the man said “leave you car parked where it is and walk here”. I now have bruises from carrying my bag that far. I was very unimpressed when I walked through the door and then the man had the audacity to laugh at me again when I told him that there should have been communication about the event. The event was extremely loud and had DJs and flashing lights into our room until 9:30pm. For a one night stay, there were far too many issues; not a nice experience. Thank you to the man who checked us out, he was lovely.
A very nice modern hotel a short drive from the airport. BJ at reception was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a buffet with a great selection and they cook the eggs freshly to your liking. Will stay there again.
