Reviews for Mercure Perth on Hay

Great location, close to the city. Upon arrival service was prompt, friendly and impeccable. I was able to organise parking beneath the building for a fee, which was perfect. The room was clean and well put together. However it does seem a little dated. TV worked perfectly as did the phone. The restaurant beneath (which also does the room service) was fantastic, only fault it that they close a little bit early. Will be back when next in Perth.

The location is pretty good, with the red CAT bus right in front of the property making it easy to get to Perth Station. The area is quiet, the wifi works well, and the rooms are spacious. Shout out to Connor at the front desk for being super helpful and friendly. However, I ordered room service around midnight but it never arrived. When I went to the lobby, I was told the item I ordered wasn’t even available. The staff said they’d refund me, but it’s been three weeks and I still haven’t received it. Would change my rating if the refund issue gets sorted.

Had a comfortable stay. Hotel is clearly a bit older. There were obvious signs. However it was clean, well kept, comfortable.. and most importantly for this trip it was affordable. This was a whirlwind overnight trip for the football. Suited my needs perfectly

The hotel is very centrally located, with a great view to the cathedral. We walked to kings park, the quay, and right around the city. Rooms are comfortable, and the spread at breaky was great, well stocked and tasty. We would definitely stay here again. ** one thing to note- the windows are VERY soundproof- there was road works out the front when we were there, ALL NIGHT, and we barely heard a thing!!!

The hotel is in need of renovations. The room looked very dated, not kitchenette unless you count the counter with a kettle and a couple of glasses. Stains on the foot stalls that are supposed to be your chairs. No actual chairs in the room. Walls boarded up like they couldn't be bothered replacing what was behind them. Towel hook missing and one of them hanging on by a thread. Buffet breakfast was ok, plenty of options but eggs could use some work. Positive is that it has a bar / restaurant. Do yourself a favour, pay the same price somewhere else.
