By far the best thing about this place was the staff! They were honestly wonderful and i was happy with every interaction i had with them, no matter the time of day. 10/10 There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, the tv was a bit tricky to figure out, my iPhone also wasn’t connecting to the samsung tv so was unable to share my screen for youtube etc, and the street got a little loud even for a Monday night. But the pillows were the comfiest Ive felt & it was still the nicest place ive been to yet and im grateful for my experience, would recommend, 8/10!
I wasn’t sure about the hotel due to some negative reviews but how different was our experience! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mercure. All staff were lovely and helpful. Room was a good size, loved the bed and we had a nice view from our room as well. The location was ideal, central to everything in the CBD. We will definitely return.
Initially, we were a bit worried as we had emailed the hotel 36 hours earlier to inform them of our arrival in Perth after midnight, but we didn’t receive a response. When we arrived at the hotel around 1:30 AM, we found the main gate closed. However, after pressing the intercom, a receptionist promptly opened the door and provided us with a smooth and efficient check-in. We were so relieved! The receptionist also mentioned that the hotel offers 24-hour reception.
Very tired room in need of updating, which I don’t mind providing it’s clean. Upon arrival there were visible signs of filth such as dirty tissues under bed, dirty bath & mouldy areas in bathroom, dirty fridge that needed defrosting, a chair that was fit for the dump, stained lampshade (see photos). However the room was a good size with balcony. Staff were very friendly. I also got food poisoning from a salad eaten in restaurant. Underground parking for guests. Walking distance to Perth shopping etc. If you’re on a budget it’s OK but I would not stay here again.
Very clean, polite staff, nice food. Towels were big and thick, toiletries lovely. My only issue was the paper thin walls and the very low shower. I had trouble washing my hair and I'm not that tall. I also heard every bit of the very good time my neighbours were having.
