It was beautifully clean, well appointed and in a fantastic location, especially if you need to be close to the Hospitals. Our only negative was that the secure parking was not in the same building. Its in the same complex, just not directly accessible from the lobby. Also, it's an additional $25 for 48 hours, not included in the room fee. Other than that, it's a lovely hotel which should satisfy most needs.
I originally booked two nights at the Courtyard Marriott Murdoch while completing my nursing placement at Fiona Stanley Hospital, it was so perfect that I extended my stay for another five nights during my 5th week of placement. The location is ideal, just a short walk to the hospital, and the quiet, comfortable rooms meant I could get quality sleep and study for assignments between shifts. The bed is incredibly comfortable, the room spotless and modern, and the staff are warm, welcoming, and professional. Having such a peaceful and supportive environment made a huge difference to my placement experience. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting or working in the area.
Hotel targeted at those visiting the medical facilities in its vicinity but we still enjoyed it as temporary long term accommodation. Rooms were modern and enjoyed lots of natural light due to its floor to ceiling windows. You get decent views of Murdoch area towards the city with some room windows facing north. Walking distance to Murdoch train station so its easy to take public trains to the city. Gym was well equipped and hardly used so great for introverts. The whole check-in process was seamless and staff were always ready to help. There were not many room options to choose from but our room with 2 double beds could comfortably accommodate a family of 4. The included breakfast was great, just need to be aware of the process the first time as its not your typical buffet but a la carte style up to a certain value per guest. Breakfast options were an upgrade to your typical scrambled eggs and toast as there were smashed avo and even a chili crag egg scramble on flat bread. The biggest challenge is the parking which is either based on luck if you can find street parking which is free in the evenings but then having to move off in the mornings, but you could do as the local workers do and park diagonally across where the construction site is as there are other cars parked there all day without incident. Or just pay an exorbitant amount to the adjacent multistorey carpark. There are some interesting characters that loiter outside the hotel which seem to be either patients of the nearby medical (mental health?) facility, or long term residents of the apartments beside the hotel and some look sketchy as but there's enough traffic and activity in the hotel lobby to not feel unsafe.
I had an amazing experience at this hotel. The service was excellent from start to finish, and the location is absolutely perfect – close to everything you need. A special mention to their Front Office Manager, Gaurav, who truly stands out. He greeted us warmly and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. His professionalism and friendly attitude really made a difference. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a great place to stay with top-notch hospitality.
We had a very pleasant experience here. Nothing over and above just perfect hotel experience. Parking is sort of tricky the first time maybe better signage outside parking lot and direction on hotel website might help, rather than Murdoch square site. Anyways rooms were clean and restaurant was good. Will visit again.
