It’s our one stop overnighter in Canberra due to consistently great service and exceptional value. Clean rooms, a little dark but quiet, modern and clean - complimentary mini bar. In-house restaurant has a great menu, good coffee and the hotel team are wonderful. Gym and pool are great. By no means overly luxurious but I’m not sure that exists in Canberra! I’d recommend staying here without a doubt. Use an agent like Prestige travel to book and they offer dining credits for the stay.
I’ve never stayed at another location since midnight hotel has always treated me so well and I’m a Marriott member. This particular stay wasn’t my favorite, maybe they were too busy with a wedding reception and to be updated I had to switch rooms which was a hassle! Not how I wanted to spend my 2 night getaway for Rest and Relaxation! It’s not my first stay by any means at this location and so I think they could’ve done better by me!
From memory, this is at least our 3rd stay in this hotel. Again, we were very disappointed that our room was not upgraded even as a Titanium member. In fact, I was cheerfully told by the check-in lady that the room had been upgraded to a better room. I had to inform her that this room was actually what I had booked, so not an upgrade at all. Not very impressed. I then asked for someone to come and assist us to connect our streaming device to the TV rather than casting from my phone. That was at 4pm but none of the technical people appeared to be available anymore. I was told they must have gone home. Again, not impressed at all. Room is nice as was experienced before but customer service is very much lacking as we also remembered from before. A complimentary bottle of wine was delivered to us last night. The salumi platter provided as part of membership benefits was arranged for noon today. Whenever our next visit to Canberra is, will need to see if customer service remains the same or improved. Upon checking out, found out that the parking fee for 2 days have been waived.
I recently spent four weeks at the Midnight Hotel in Canberra, and I can honestly say the experience exceeded expectations. From the moment we arrived, Daryl, the Desk Manager, consistently went above and beyond for me and the two colleagues I was traveling with. Our stay was split into two‑week reservations, and when we checked in for the second half, each of us was upgraded to a better room and given complimentary bar tickets — a gesture that truly made us feel valued. Throughout the entire stay, Daryl and the staff were attentive, respectful, and incredibly patient. Their professionalism and genuine care made a long work trip feel comfortable and welcoming. Experiences like this make all the difference when choosing where to spend your money and where to rest after long days. Highly recommend Midnight Hotel for anyone visiting Canberra.
Disappointing stay, mainly due to the saunas. They're in desperate need of renovation The smell hits you as soon as you walk in, and there's broken wood throughout, including loose pieces all over the floor. When you pour water on the wood, pieces of wood leak out from underneath the seats, which suggests the whole thing needs rebuilding, not just patching up. Location is great and the rooms are fine, but for a hotel at this level the wellness facilities are well below standard. Wouldn't return until the saunas are properly fixed.
