Five stars for Novotel. We have chosen Novotel as we didn't expect anything much, just a simple place to sleep and a breakfast as the price are inexpensive when compared to the other surrounding hotel but their service was beyond my expectation though the room is simple, but their service is incredible. I've been there on my partner's birthday; we decided to have something simple this year. Once I prebooked the hotel I was talking to Ms. Lis, the reservation agent asking if they had a birthday cake? She told me that they don't provide a cake, but I can order from outside and they will be displaying it in our room. So, I decide to order and make a delivery as I didn't expect them to provide one. We found the staffs had nicely presented the cake in our room, plus a cute couples of sweets treats as a birthday gift for my partner. The front office staff was nice as well, I can't remember her name, she had short hair. She had delivered a perfect service, a smooth check in with friendly professional manner. Most time both of us as a non-native English speaker were treated differently but she didn't make us feel different at all. On the day of check out, we left our bags at the hotel as our flight is in the evening, we keep forgetting our belongings in the luggage and asked the staff to access our luggage many times. I know it was super annoying for them, but the staffs were so nice to help me with it. I would recommend this hotel and will definitely come back.

This stay came as a bit of a surprise. We checked in at Novotel Surfers Paradise on 11/01 & we usually choose Novotel wherever we travel because of the comfort & also to make use of our membership & points. Unfortunately, this particular stay was a little disappointing compared to our usual Novotel experiences. From the beginning, there were a few things that stood out. The lift had an unpleasant smell & then once inside the room, we noticed that the towel hanger was on the floor & appeared to have been left unattended. The gym was also small & quite limited in equipment. Breakfast was decent but it's the same every day, which became repetitive over a longer stay. The pool area was okay. Positive side to this is the location it self. Location is excellent & probably the best part of the stay. It’s incredibly convenient, with easy access to the beach, public transport, shops & plenty of restaurants nearby. This made getting around Surfers Paradise very comfortable. The staff were also friendly, helpful & welcoming. Which we truly appreciated & made the stay more pleasant. Overall, while the location & staff were great, the hotel quality did not quite meet the standard we usually expect from Novotel. With some attention to maintenance, cleanliness & variety in offerings, this property has the potential to be much better.

We had a truly wonderful stay, and we would like to sincerely thank the entire reception and concierge team — especially Haein. From the moment we arrived, everyone was warm, professional, and incredibly kind. Haein in particular stood out with her genuine care, patience, and attention to detail. She always greeted us with a smile and made every request feel easy and comfortable, no matter how small. Thanks to Haein and the whole team, this hotel felt not just well-run, but truly welcoming. Their kindness and dedication made our stay smooth, relaxing, and memorable. We are very grateful for such beautiful service and would happily return again. Highly recommended!

Very poor advertising and under staffed. Check out day earlier than meant too due for an original 3 night stay. First night was put in a room that had a TV not working, the WIFI wasn't working and kept glitches in and out and the reception when called from room no one answered even when called from my personal phone to the hotel. Also the bathroom had no fans that when we had a shower one of my youngest kids felt they were going to faint. The beds were horrible and so small not a double indeed. When spoke to management Nathan he was kind enough to move us to another room and apologised for the issue. He was very polite and nice. Also gave us complementary breakfast as apologised for not even one hour in the holiday and all this was happening. Next day (today) again the room starting glitches with the TV again and as well phone not working for room service. Can hear next to us all noises and sounds and not a great sleep went this morning to check out and went to a manager named Tom to ask for Nathan as he was polite and spoke to me in a rude manner and stated wasn't available. No customer service at all. I then went in line to be checked out and another lady wnrnt up too Tom to ask a question also later stated her stay was horrible Tom was so so rude and ina loud voice told the lady his busy and when the lady said to him she would move to the next line he made a face behind her as she turned. Thats disgusting. I was then served by a nice young man Hudson and I asked what the manager name was and stated Tom ad I told him how he was rude and thats jot a way to talk to customers and to advise management. A lady was there wearing a green shirt who was the manager and she asked what's the issue and I explained to her and so did the other lady and she abruptly also stated they had an emergency and understaffed which I stated that wasn't our issue and there is a way to tell to someone for wait for 10 minutes while you handle something. She walked off. Hudson apologised and was very grateful about the situation and handled it accordingly and professionally. The only nice people were manager Nathan and front desk Hudson. However Tom was rude, manager (didnt get her name) today an elderly lady was rude and room was not great or experience and cut my holiday short that i was really looking forward too and too and l took annual leave of work for.

Great location! Stayed on 30th floor executive room with ocean view. Expected better for the cost. Definitely not sound proof glass on balcony as we could hear everything going on in Cavill Ave well into 1am including the preachers. Sheer curtain on the right side had come off the rails. No bottle opener, plates or cutlery apart from 2 spoons for coffee/tea. Room fit out was average but view was fantastic. Waited 10mins for a lift that was full, no aircon & then stopped at nearly every floor from ours. Very unpleasant & overwhelming for all guests. Parking $25/nt and accessible. Check in & out was easy.
