Very clean and comfy rooms.. service was very good too! Breakfast was a bonus! Will definitely come back again. Maria was so lovely to talk to and super helpful. It was a delight to interact with her ant breakfast each morning!! Whilst parking was paid and right in the same building, very compact and inconvenient entry/exit.. wouldn’t use them again. Overall a fantastic experience with the hotel!

We had a one-night stay at Holiday Inn Express Sydney Airport and found it to be a comfortable and convenient choice before our flight. The staff were generally friendly and helpful, though we did encounter one staff member the next morning who seemed impatient and frustrated. She still provided the information we needed, but her attitude wasn’t as welcoming as the rest of the team. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a nice touch of both soft and firm pillows labeled for preference. The beds had toppers, making them extra comfortable—we had a really good rest before catching our flight. A great perk was the complimentary breakfast, which was quick and convenient before heading to the airport. If you’re leaving before breakfast hours, they also offer packed breakfasts—a thoughtful service. Additionally, the hotel provides a free shuttle to the airport, which is a great option for future guests. Overall, it was a solid stay for a short transit, with good amenities and a comfortable night’s sleep.

Overall, our stay was very pleasant for an "overnight" from Auckland to Sydney. The housekeper in the breakfast room-- named MARIA is a shining star! When we entered it looked way too full to ever find a seat. I saw her wipe and polish up a table and then she said to my husband standing closer to her than I was-- " here is a table for you sir." I saw Maria politely ask a teenager if she could "please possibly move over"--as the teen was absently looking at her phone -- standing right in a high traffic area, where many were trying to get to the coffee! We were at the tail end of breakfast, so finishing up when the place was pretty much cleared out. Maria had taken a liking to us--we are fairly charming people, actually-- so made pleasant conversation with us. She gave us some advice on how to get to the train for a site we mentioned we want to go to. OK-- the reason I gave the 4 star room rating.... My husband booked and PAID FOR a " Deluxe-- Extra floor space." We were put in a corner room that architecturally "cuts corners". It was an interesting look, but we have 4 pieces of LUGGAGE for 5 months of traveling-- that is why we booked "extra floor space." The ironing board is stored in a way the furniture would have to be moved to get it out. I changed my mind on what I am wearing today-- rather than struggle to get it out in this "spacious" room. When my husband mentioned to the clerk, after we had stayed the night, his disappointment in the room-- compared to how it was described when booked-- she merely said, " You got what you booked." 🤔

Evidently many reviews have supported of the location and rooms is undeniably. Unfortunately the service started from the first step of service from the frontline staff before the hotel guests stay and experience which is manner on the phone, the reply to email inquiries, chat boxes for customer service. I sent an enquiry email about the availability of gluten free option for takeaway breakfast as our room charge included breakfast. The reply email was blunt that they only offer cereal, juice and a muesli bar. There was no apology but and ignore the question asked for gluten free option. Then tried their chat box if the question I asked would be answered m. The responses were worst as it did not understand my question and replied some texts completely out of line. I tried the third option in my thought it could be better to talk and negotiate my request with a human over the phone. Unfortunately the lady on the phone was blunt and a bit of defensive. She bluntly told me the breakfast was a complimentary from the hotel and I pointed out to her that the breakfast was charged in the room rate like any other hotels elsewhere. She told me bluntly that there is no option of gluten free as this is a free breakfast that I should not expect an alternate option. In our exchange of facts, the staff admitted she also has travelled to a places too like me but the most unfortunately there was a huge difference in the customer service provided from the Holiday Inn Express and other 3 or 4 Stars rating hotels. Many good customer service hotels will try their best to meet their guests or patrons’s request for a positive review and positive experience. Unfortunately the staff at Holiday Unn Express did not take onboard of my feedback, demonstrated no humble and warm customer service in their frontline service before the guest step in for a good experience. I hope the management would look into their frontline service such as email response, chat boxes and phone communication manner. A good customer service is warm, empathy, friendly, humble and apologetic to reflect a good positive gesture to anyone. Also I hope the management should have a couple of dietary option for their guests which is a necessary in today’s world.

Very impressive service, cleanliness and convenience. Comfortable bed with labeled pillowcases for soft and firm choices. Love the food ordering system with QR codes to your room or table. Not too fancy but practical and price worthy. Lovely reception/bar/breakfast zone the friendly and efficient staff! Best of the convenient hotels around Sydney airport! Highly recommended!
