This visit was in response to a marketing call for a Red Hot room. The tariff was very attractive for 3 nights. The room was very comfortable. It was an upgraded room. My status warrants that this be requested and approved if available. The main gripe with the weekend was the food SERVICE. The lack of pressure on the dining availability of the string incentive - a reserved club breakfast was also a difficulty. This put inordinate pressure on the breakfast dining area, and the staff simply did not know how to cope. For example, walking past four set tables to situate us, a customer of two parties, at a table for four, which was unset on one side and messy on the other. The message “invitation” to discuss these concerns was AI-generated, and I attempted to reply twice. Consequently, there was no engagement with anyone other than the French photographer, who asked us guests to leave the Club lounge on Saturday afternoon. There was a three-day photo shoot - so do check if there’s a photo shoot on your visit as in this instance no access to use Club Millesime. Not one breakfast opportunity prevailed. Guests deserve to be notified of interruptions to regular service procedures including early morning maintenance above our room . Guests were seen strolling ambling and running up and down the breakfast room to either end, adding to the congestion: strolling up and down the room to either end in search of a glass of orange over a glass of apple juice added to the congestion? It was mayhem that became an active topic of discussion with many tables

This hotel is located in a really good place, but the quality of the room and the service at the restaurant was not up to the standard of other Sofitel hotels we have stayed in. First of all, the room felt small. Partly this is due to poor design and inefficient use of space. There are two large night stands with NO storage space. But it does have motion senses light that is well too bright and stays on for a long time, guaranteed to wake you up in the middle of night. It has a space inefficient round table, rounded bath room vanity. If you close the bathroom door, unless you kick it, it won't open. The shower control is ancient, and it takes 3-5 minutes to get the temperature right. The bathroom tissue holder that is way too low unless you are an orangutan. Who was the architect!#? We had dinner with 43 people, and there were only 3 servers. Way understaffed!

I booked 2 superior king size rooms, but only received breakfast for 3 people. This is the first time at a 5-star hotel with superior rooms that they limit breakfast to only 1 person per room. I purchased the breakfast clause for the room, not for a specific number of people. This is the first time I've encountered such an issue at a 5-star hotel

Unfortunately, this is a five star hotel that doesn’t feel like one. There is a self service check in and a very average looking lobby. The hotel has apparently been renovated but it did not show from the room. The wardrobe did not open fully because of a bench seat directly in its path. There was an extremely narrow door leading into a tired looking bathroom. And, the room was dark and a very odd shape, thanks to the horseshoe configuration of the building. The breakfast buffet was very, very average and the service was good at best. For the price point, this is not a great choice if you want a proper five star hotel.

The hotel is in a great location. The Wentworth has recently been renovated and the rooms are clean and sparkly. Sadly, in the renovation they didn't put in double glazing. Therefore, the rooms are not as quiet as they could be. There is a tendency for extraneous noises to come into the room. Also, the plumbing has its own vicarious noises at different times of the day and night. There is a unique feature where a light under the side table lights up as you put your foot on the ground so you can have light in the room as you do any night duties. This could be disconcerting for some as the light could interrupt your partner's sleep. The smart view wasn't working on our TV. We tried several devices that had paired in other hotels. It's a busy lobby most of the time. However, the added feature for this upmarket hotel is several self check-in desks.
