I had a wonderful stay at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth. The room was a very good size, with a well-appointed bathroom and excellent amenities. The service throughout my stay was outstanding – warm, professional, and attentive. The hotel’s location is perfect, making it easy to explore the city. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, and room service was equally impressive. Everything about my experience was smooth and enjoyable. I’m very happy with my stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sydney. Thank you to the team for making it such a memorable visit.
The hotel is strategically located in the heart of Sydney, making it very convenient for business or leisure. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, although a bit on the smaller side. Amenities are complete and in good condition, ensuring a comfortable stay. The staff are generally polite and helpful, providing a pleasant service experience. As an ALL Accor member, the benefits are well-recognized and applied, which adds extra value to the stay. Overall, it’s a solid choice for accommodation in Sydney, combining convenience, cleanliness, and consistent service.
We were grateful to have been upgraded as part of our ALL benefits. The room was lovely. Wentworth bar is a great new venue and breakfast at Delta Rue was the best we’ve had at any hotel on a busy day. Egg orders were prompt and very good and staff were excellent, also bringing coffee promptly. Buffet options were extensive and the restaurant was full but still ran like clockwork. Well done!
We had a very comfortable stay in one of the suites, which was tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean. The staff at the front door were so friendly and attentive, helping with opening taxi doors - which felt luxurious! We enjoyed the treats delivered to our room which had been requested a few days earlier - they arrived later than expected post- check in, but were still very much appreciated. There was somewhat a lack of enthusiasm and genuine care from staff at check in ("next customer please" sentiment), and a slightly poor understanding across Sofitel's partnership with Accor members & what guests could expect. We weren't allowed to take our welcome drink up to the room - Concierge said we should order room service, which we'd need to pay extra for of course. Totally not their fault for drinks license policies, but not a particularly helpful suggestion either.
We had a family night before our daughter’s wedding on a carnival cruise. We all enjoyed the lounge and appreciated the kindness of the staff who let the children stay in the James Cook room after 5pm. Our daughter could not attend the wedding as she was heavily pregnant and with two toddlers would have missed out on this time as well as the wedding. Best roast pork in the lounge.
