My stay at Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment I arrived, the staff were extremely professional, welcoming, and attentive, ensuring a seamless experience. The room was absolutely amazing—spacious, luxurious, and offering breathtaking views that made my stay even more special. The attention to detail in both comfort and cleanliness was impeccable. One of the standout highlights was the world-class breakfast buffet. The variety, quality, and presentation of the food were truly outstanding, making it an unforgettable dining experience each morning. Thank you to the entire team for such a fantastic stay! I was charged a credit card fee for using my Marriott Bonvoy credit card. When I made my reservation, it told me the total cost of my stay including all taxes and FEES were included. They never told me about that. I think it’s a complete rip off because the reservation said all fees are included. I spoke to the hotel to no avail. I spoke to a Marriott customer service rep who was very difficult to deal with. It’s not just about me, but it’s about everybody who uses the Bonvoy app to be lied to about the fees. And it’s not a lot of money but it’s the point. Perhaps a windfall for the hotel for every guest charged, or carry thousands of dollars in cash for your stay. Having called ahead to let them know I arrive at 10 AM after a long flight from the East Coast of the US, I was told I could rest in the Sheraton Club and they would do the best I could to get me an early check-in. . I was denied access to the club because they were still serving a buffet for 30 more minutes and I wasn’t entitled to that buffet because I didn’t stay the night prior. As a platinum lifetime member, I found that petty. Additionally, I did not get my room until the actual check in time at 3pm. So no early check-in and no upgrade for which my status makes me eligible. It could have just been a higher floor. Even that morning I could have purchased an upgrade! We took our breakfast in the hotel’s Sydney Commons which was complimentary given my elite statue, and the choices and cooked to order eggs, were outstanding! Healthy and diverse! The view over Hyde Park from our room is wonderful. The view from the club lounge spectacular. Hors d’oeuvres served in the Club delicious. Unfortunately it was full on our second night and we were sent to a second floor overflow room that was a disappointment in mood, food and alcohol service. Room is dated, mold in shower, missing sink drain, and dusty in areas including top of showerhead. Location is perfect.

We stayed here one night for pre cruise day. Since our flight arrived early in the morning, I requested early check-in which was honored. Location was perfect that all the interesting spots were within 10 to 20-minute walking distances. Room was spacious with very comfortable bed, tasteful furniture and decoration, nice Hyde Park view. Bathroom was furnished with all the necessities and very plush towels. Club was excellent for both happy hour and breakfast. Food served were in impressive quality and varieties and servers were very attentive.

For a 5 star hotel, this place is a solid 4 star rating. Rooms are nice and clean but limited bathroom amenities. Executive lounge located on the 21st floor with great complimentary breakfast offering of hot and cold items. Swimming pool small and gym moderate in size with plenty of equipment. Front desk not well equipped. Everytime I went down to the lobby there was always a line for folks to get checked in. Location is great. Across the street from Hyde park and literally next to the St James train station, you can conveniently get just about anywhere in Sydney.

We just checked out and this hotel made such good impression that I have to make a review (since i don't usually do). We stayed in Sheraton for 4 nights and the location is the best, being across Hyde Park where my kids and I just lounge on the grass most afternoons. The housekeeping is excellent! The breakfast has so many choices and their servers and chefs were all so friendly! The concierge and bellmen were so helpful. Special mention to Lester for the excellent customer service. Only reason for not giving total of 5 stars is that when we had dinner, the customer service was not comparable to the breakfast staff. Maybe because we have kids and strollers? I dunno.
