Great hotel across the street from Central Station. In fact, you don't even need to cross the street as there is an underground walkway entrance,just outside the hotel entrance on railway Square . The hotel feels modern and clean. My room was an OK size for one person. The AC worked well and the bathroom was big with shower only. The biggest issue I had with the room was lack of storage. Breakfast was good but not alot of change from day to day. Breakfast starts at 7:00AM and by about 8:00AM there was often a queue to get in. There is a convenience store on the main floor, but it sells mostly snacks and not much in the way of toiletries. Eve's bar on the main floor has great food, and prices are reasonable for a hotel bar. If you want a nice, reasonably priced hotel near Central station, then the Mercure is a great option.

The stay was generally OK, but it lacked some basic amenities I expected from a hotel - most notably, no bottled water provided in the room. The dry sauna was also disappointing; it took over an hour to reach a reasonable temperature, making it impractical to use. On a positive note, the staff were accommodating and flexible with check-out times, which was appreciated. Overall, it was a decent experience, but there’s room for improvement in guest comfort and facilities.

Good location for us as daughter was staying at the uni across the road. Probably nicer areas of town but good for us. Hotel was a busy hub. Pool/gym pretty small if that’s important. 5min walk through tunnel to central station & 15min walk to darling harbour. Light rail 5min walk to get to circular quay. Only stayed 2nights.

Location is amazing due to being near the train station or a short walk to the trams.. everything is close.. The bar is super convenient being close by to have a few drinks being heading back up to the room where the beds were super comfy and I must say the showers were nice and hot with a great pressure.. Out our room window wasnt much of a view though but we can’t win it all… Staff was super friendly and helpful, when we couldn’t check in early it was easy for them to store it for us while we go and explore.. came back to check in and they had kindly taken our suitcases up to our room for us. We had a later check out time with made it super easy for us as well.. we were able to leave out suitcases there while we finished exploring before heading off to the airport. Great place to stay!! We have already rebooked again!

We stayed a night here to celebrate our daughter’s 6th birthday for something different. Staff were so lovely and generous with an upgraded big room and left some special treats for kids and parents in the room for us. Great value for money and excellent location just down from darling Harbour. Pool and gym are small but still a nice thing to keep the kids occupied on a rainy afternoon. Thank you for taking great care of us.
