Room was nice and clean with 2 double beds as per our booking. We liked the inclusion of LED ambient lighting that we could turn to different colours. Mini mart downstairs was perfect for buying drinks and snacks. Good location close to Central Station so we caught the airport train here and walked with our bags to the hotel. Also close to light rail and lots of shops. Would definitely stay here again. It's not a 5 star in the traditional sense but worth 5 in other ways.

The front office staff member who checked us in was amazing, very professional and helpful. However, the room was tired, scuffs and marks on the wall, glass desk that at first appearance looks nice but is scratched all over. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. You can hear virtually all the guests around your room as the walls appear paper thin. Pool wasn't heated and a bit dirty. Small but nice gym. Room service was quick and delicious. The staff responsible for it were always friendly. Breakfast was okay. Staff appeared stressed. Check-Out was confusing at first, I wasn't asked how my stay was but otherwise was, like everything else. Okay.

Rooms are a bit more spacious than you might expect from a large hotel. They kept my bag for hours after I arrived early (which is great given the later than usual check in time) and unlike other hotels I’ve stayed at in Sydney have a clear process and facility to manage this: so getting it back was super simple. Location is great, a short walk to central station (but don’t worry, you can’t hear a thing) which was great for me needing to get out to Olympic Park. And I’m someone who can’t sleep with light. Let me tell you, these are the best blackout curtains I’ve come across! Photos are taken from the exact same position, seconds apart. I slept til 730 which is unheard of!

Admittedly, my stay was not off to a great start. There were a number of issues I encountered. Being highly sleep deprived the next morning, I sent a slightly too abrupt email to the Manager to list my concerns. They responded promptly and rectified the situation. Many thanks to Chad Ingson, the Manager, for doing so. He went far and beyond to accommodate me for my upcoming stay. The location is excellent and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It is worth managing expectations (and I need to take my own advice here!) as far as four and five star properties are concerned. There is a difference in four and five star, and it is worth keeping this in mind. But for a four star, centrally located property, it is excellent and I am looking forward to returning next time I'm in Sydney for a more enjoyable experience.

The two rooms we had are clean and tidy. Breakfast was delicious. Well located. One minor improvement was before we made this booking, the first staff who picked up phone call had promised and guaranteed to have the rooms next to each other but the other staffs had denied this guarantee which was disappointing.
