Reviews for InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort

We had a wonderful stay at InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort and truly enjoyed our time there. The resort is in a fantastic location, with the marina just a short walk away and plenty of great dining options close by. The rooms were very clean and beautifully maintained, and housekeeping was consistently excellent — we especially appreciated returning each day to fresh bottles of water waiting for us. A special mention goes to Veronica at the Cove Café, who seated us for breakfast most mornings. She was always friendly, welcoming, and smiling, and genuinely made our mornings brighter. Her warmth and professionalism really stood out. The only minor issue during our stay was that some of the dishes at the buffet and occasionally with room service were not always 100% clean. This didn’t detract significantly from our overall experience, but it’s something that could be improved. Overall, the resort was immaculate, relaxing, and perfectly located, with staff who clearly care about their guests. We would happily return.

InterContinental provided a genuinely great experience, with outstanding cleanliness and hygiene throughout the stay. The room was well-maintained, fresh, and clearly sanitised to a high standard, which made me feel comfortable and well looked after. The bathroom was spotless, amenities were neatly presented, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared. Combined with the hotel’s elegant atmosphere and attention to detail, the sanitary standards truly matched the luxury image InterContinental is known for, making the stay enjoyable and reassuring from start to finish.

I’ve been coming here for the past 6 years and to be quite honest when I first arrived here I was not that impressed, it’s rough around the edges to say the least. However, I’ve stayed multiple times and I’ve grown to love this hotel very much. The thing that makes this hotel special are the staff that work hard to ensure you have a good time, that’s all the staff, not just the front of house but the staff that clean the rooms and cook the food too. We usually stay in a club room as we enjoy the afternoon tea and cocktail hour. It also gives us the chance to meet the staff we’ve met before. Special mention to Roxy, Cedric and Xandra. Thank you! The pools are huge, the rooms are a bit dated but nice. If you’re lucky Kangaroos might hop past while you’re sipping your Pina Colada! Stay in the week and you’ll have it all to yourself. Don’t judge a book by its cover and you’ll have a super time! Cheers to my favourite hotel group IHG.

Really friendly service. Rooms are good sized, even the cheapest ones, and clean. Loved that there are kangaroos roaming around as well. Getting access to the country club for lap pool and gym is also great, though do wish it was closer to the main hotel. Minor things that could be improved on are more people on the buggy. If the service is on offer, then it needs to be more frequent otherwise why bother. Also would be good to get free water bottles water like all other hotels, the local IGA closes too early so for people who don't drink tap water this is a bit inconvenient.

Beautiful place with beautiful memories. We stayed 2 nights, 3 days for my wife's birthday trip. Actually, the building and facility are quite old, but the room, restaurant, pool, and other facilities are very clean and of better quality than the Star hotel. Also very helpful were Pradnesh (Duty Manager) and Andrea (guest service staff). Our room has a small light issue, but they were really helpful and kind in their jobs for us. We had a really special memory when we stayed at this hotel. Will be back to stay soon.
