This was the first time our children stayed in a hotel and they loved it. We loved the facilities and the staff were extremely friendly. We were hoping for a wider variety for breakfast as our kids didn't have enough options, as picky eaters. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay.

This is a very nice hotel. On entry the reception is very impressive and check in was quick and easy. The rooms are very nice with full height windows and are well appointed with excellent views. An added bonus for all guests is filtered still and sparkling water on tap at the bar with a bottle in your room on arrival. You can refill at any time. All fittings and fixtures are very high quality. The hotel has a very nice restaurant with great views and excellent food and service. All staff we met were excellent. This hotel is next door to Doncaster shopping town and my reason for staying here, it has a Bunnings on the bottom 2 floors.

Sahil is a true gentleman who ensured we had the best experience during our stay. The hospitality provided was exceptional. The front office team is highly professional, though a few could benefit from being a bit more personable when interacting with guests. Overall, it was a fantastic stay—absolutely amazing!

The hotel room was great and reception staff were lovely but the restaurant really let the whole experience down. Breakfast was under resourced and under staffed and the dinner menu was over-priced for the poorly meal that arrived after I had to beg for service. The pool was also nice but the mouldy ceiling was off putting.

I recently stayed here with my wedding party and family in the King Suite and twin rooms. While the rooms were nice and the location very convenient, being right next door to Westfield was very helpful, I was surprised by the service and felt like it was lacking. I booked in the rooms months ago and it didn't seem like anything we had requested had been noted or passed on to the rest of the team, and there was no check in during the lead up to our stay. For example, when I booked I asked if it was possible to fit 4 people in the Suite with an extra roll in bed. When we arrived, none of this had been set up, and we weren't aware of the extra cost for the roll in bed. We weren't supplied with pillows for the sofa beds, and while it felt like every request was an inconvenience to the team (asking for the bed to be set up, asking for extra towels, we needed a couple of bar stools for our make-up to be done the next day, waiting up to 30 minutes for the pillows). It didn't seem like they had ever had a wedding party before. My maid of honour stayed the night of the wedding and her card was deactivated early, so she was unable to get into back into the room while helping us pack up everything from getting ready. Also for anyone with more than two people to a room, you can only book breakfast at the hotel for 2 people per room. Overall, nice room, great location, unfortunately there were a few things about the service that weren't so great. It wasn't the worst stay I've ever had, but having stayed at other Mercure hotels before (Melbourne CBD) I was surprised by the service.
