My daughter and I had a lovely stay at the Savoy Hotel. We arrived very early and the staff were so accommodating in holding our bags - so we could begin shopping and return when our room was ready. The staff were so kind and thoughtful and even sent a little birthday cake and note up to our room for my daughter - she was so thrilled! Our room was spacious and comfortable and we both had a great sleep. Close proximity to all the shops, our dinner reservation at Crown and the station for our train home. We could walk everywhere we needed to go. Perfect

Beautiful hotel next to SouthCross Station. Nice sized and well appointed room with comfortable bed. Beautiful bathroom with fantastic shower. Room has a coffee machine which is a big plus, but no bathrobes or slippers. No queue to check in and the staff were very helpful. Only negative is the furniture is a bit shabby, with the wardrobe having to be taped up.

Excellent service. I really felt welcomed in a genuine way. There was a minor issue with the aircon and in my room and a staff member came and fixed it immediately. Room was spacious, bed was very comfortable and I appreciated the blackout curtains. Location was perfect. Just across from the train station.

AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS. I have come back to my room at 9pm to find it has not been made up. I called reception only to be told that this is the only 4 star hotel in the world where the room will only be made up on request. It is not written anywhere, and we were not advised at check in. The managers respond to the reviews by saying it is in their TV compendium and oolnkine listing. I have checked. It is not on their online listings and no one looks in the TV compendium because it isn't 1982. Add to this, they have a best rate guarantee on their website which they did not honour - and when challenged, advised that because the rate was through a third party website, they wouldn't honour it (the idea is that you find it cheaper on a third party website and the main hotel offers the best price) Nice rooms. Nice location. Pretty hotel. Terrible experience. Go somewhere else.
