I had an exceptional experience at the View Melbourne. I had to make a last minute trip to Melbourne to attend a funeral. I arrived early and the staff found me a room and upgraded me. The rooms was large clean and had a wonderful view. All the staff were terrific and the buffet breakfast was outstanding with a great array of food at a reasonable price. I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone visiting Melbourne to stay at the View Melbourne.

Entry to hotel dirty (covered in leaf litter) on arrival and it’s definitely not a 4 star /4.5 star hotel. No valet service to help with bags and facilities are non existent (pool/spa is barricaded off and gym is motel standard). When told we booked specifically for access to a pool was told essentially - “sorry/too bad”. Do not recommend.

Room was dirty. Skirting boards had thick dust. Fridge was warm and they had left milk in it. Fridge had been replaced and cupboard was filthy. Lots of black dust. Our room was not serviced at all on our third days stay. Room was booked as king bed. On arrival room was twins. Had to be remade . We have stayed at Parkview on many previous occasions. Restaurant used to be fantastic. Now it’s extremely ordinary. Such a shame for a great location hotel We would love to come back but we need the same quality that was provided previously

We stayed at the Hotel View for 4 nights and the location is ok. You can get to the center quickly by streetcar. The staff are friendly. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the room and the cleanliness. There were obvious stains on the cupboards and mirrors. The table had never really been cleaned either. The cleaning staff were never seen with a vacuum cleaner even though everything (except the bathroom) had carpet. We were disgusted to use the dishes and bought cleaning/disinfectant. Price-performance ratio of Hotel View is not good. I am sorry to have to give this bad feedback. The size of the room for a family with 2 children is good.

Great place to stay. Easy access to everything you need. Great views of Melbourne. They have one of the best free breakfast buffets I have had in any hotel I stayed in.
