I enjoyed my 3 day stay. Very welcoming reception and most comfortable room. My late arrival was anticipated , and room lights were on. Price of room was extraordinarily good for quality accommodation. Short stroll to get St Kilda Road tram for ease of travel to and from the city. I accepted paying for buffet breakfast for one morning only , that was basic but acceptable. I would be keen to stay again.

A Slice of Heaven at View Melbourne From the moment we walked in, we felt wrapped in luxury. Check-in was a breeze, and Carlos at reception made us feel genuinely welcome right away. We were blown away when we arrived at our family room—it was huge. The king bed was absolutely massive, and the two additional beds were perfect for the kids. There was a lovely little table and chairs for meals, a generously sized TV (great for watching the footy!), and the bathroom? Total luxury—large shower with excellent water pressure, a deep bathtub, and even plush bathrobes. The daily hot buffet breakfast was a highlight. Everything we asked for was there—eggs, bacon, little pork sausages, five types of bread, and even some healthy options. The morning staff were incredible—friendly, helpful, and always happy to accommodate any request. We also dined at the Hop Garden restaurant, and the food was absolutely delicious. Location-wise, you can’t beat it—just a two-minute walk to the tram, and Ubers pick you up right at the front door. Honestly, we have not one complaint. Thank you, View Melbourne, for making us feel so welcome and special. We’ll definitely be back

Great value for money. Not fancy but clean and comfortable. Great location on the tram routes. Good value food but not 24-hour room service. Comfy bed. Plenty of free weekend street parking nearby.

Nice hotel, a reasonable walk from the Shrine of Remembrance. Rooms are a bit dated and missing a few mod cons of a newer hotel. Rooms felt a bit tired and missed a touch of charm. That said, the room was very comfortable, bed was great and the shower was powerful. The only detracting part was quite a bit of street noise, and notably ambulances due to the proximity to the Alfred Hospital. The buffet breakfast was pretty good and the service around the hotel and restaurant was great. Underground parking is available, but a number of spaces are very tight.

The location is great, and I like our room, it has a beautiful view. It’s just surprising that even small hotels offer complimentary bottled water, but this one doesn’t. The staff also weren’t very helpful.
