Light and airy the Hunter Room can be divided into two separate spaces Hunter 1 and Hinter 2 or combined depending on the size of your event. Together Hunter 1 +2 can host up to 120 delegates.

Suitable for functions up to 110 guests. The hotel feature two flexible pillar-less meeting areas, the Newcastle 1 and Newcastle 2 rooms, which feature operable wall creating two smaller rooms.

Whilst clearly a tired property, the staff and quality of food and service made up for it. Checking in at the self checkin was easy too. Breakfast, dinner and our conference room foods was fresh and deliciously tasty. My bed was comfy and just the right amount of milk in fridge. Love that toiletries are easy pump packs on wall.

The staff at the hotel were exceptional, especially a young lady Ellie i think. She made our stay so easy and accommodated all requests. The hotel is perfect if you want to walk everywhere as its so close to the city. Supermarket and other stores across the road. Definitely recommend

I really enjoyed staying at the Mercure in February 2025 - the hotel is super close to the station, the waterfront, shops and restaurants. The rooms are quite large and well equipped including with crockery and cutlery, a dining table/desk and lounge. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms very clean

The staff were amazing and very friendly at both the check in and check out process! Room was very clean,tidy but most importantly how close it is to walking distance to shops,bars and public transport. Overall stay was amazing along side the wonderful experience I have had. I will be back again!

The ground floor is really lovely after being renovated. The rooms have been renovated to an extent such as walls being repainted and artwork of local sites decorating each room. However the bathrooms are old and dingy, needing renovation ASAP. The rooms have barely any power points. The addition of a microwave would go well. The daily parking fee is a bit steep. The rooms were comfy enough and the central location was handy. Probably would choose to stay elsewhere next time though.
