Absolutely loved our stay at Mercure Newcastle. The rooms were modern, clean, and super comfortable. Location is perfect — close to everything but still peaceful for a good night’s sleep. The staff were a standout — friendly, professional, and always happy to help with anything we needed. From check-in to check-out, the service was seamless. Whether you're visiting for work or a weekend getaway, I highly recommend this place. We’ll definitely be back!
Im staying at the Mercure in Newcastle and found it to be a great fit for my needs. While the property is a little older, I chose it primarily for its convenient location and reasonable pricing. It's not the cheapest option, but it has definitely delivered value. The room and amenities have met all my expectations, making my stay comfortable and hassle-free. I especially want to highlight the excellent service from the young lady working the night shift at the front desk over the past few nights. She has been incredibly helpful, going out of her way to assist us when needed. Her friendly and upbeat presence has made passing through the lobby a genuinely pleasant experience. Overall, a solid stay with great service where it matters most.
Overall, the experience was good! Fortunately, we were able to find parking during our stay, although we noticed some guests had to turn back on weekends due to limited parking. The breakfast was nice, but the same menu was repeated every day and could be changed daily for more variety. The room was comfortable overall, though we did experience some unusual noise coming from the air conditioner.
We were greeted by a friendly staff member who guided us through check-in then took my daughter over to the lounge for special Easter face painting while I parked the car. When we came down for breakfast the next morning, we noticed the Easter bunny had visited! There were Easter Eggs hidden throughout the reception and restaurant. Breakfast was delicious and we were well rested after sleeping in the very comfortable bed. Thanks for a great stay!
I stayed for 2 nights in the standard king bed room. The restaurant downstairs was a bit let down for the price you pay. Saying that, there are heaps of cafe and restaurants nearby. The hotel is located in a great spot. The google map location needs to be fixed, it doesn't take you to the correct entry gate. Overall, it was good. I will stay here again if I am travelling for work.
