Wouldn’t recommend. Dropped my luggage off early in the morning. When returning to grab something from my bag I was given my luggage plus another lady’s hand bag 😳 Upon checking in later that day staff had no idea. Couldn’t find me in the system. After 10-15 minutes they finally found me but were confused on how to cut my key. Fast forward 5 minutes I get the key. Use the elevator get to my room and the key doesn’t work. I walk but down to reception to be told they would re cut it. I go back up to my room again where the key didn’t work a second time now. Frustrated at this point I head back down to reception. Front desk only had 1 staff member so I was told to wait while he served another 2 customers in line. Staff member then goes with me to the room to see why the key wouldn’t work. To his surprise the key did in fact NOT work so he used his master key. But wait it gets worse. I walk around the corner into the hotel room and the room was occupied. The poor other guests yelled out quite anxiously “you’re in the wrong room”. Mind you I had 2 children with me who walked in first. Who knows what these guests could of been doing. I had to ask for no charge for an extra bed due to the inconvenience and was told they wouldn’t do that only $40 off the price which I denied. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE. Don’t recommend. I would honestly like some type of refund. What a joke.

I recently stayed at Rydges Darling Square and, unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations. Firstly, the reception staff seemed disengaged and uninterested in their roles. Not friendly. The front desk was often left unattended, leaving guests waiting for assistance. A warm and welcoming reception is crucial in hospitality, and this was noticeably lacking. Additionally, the hotel did not provide umbrellas on rainy days, which is a basic amenity in many hotels of this standard. It would have been a thoughtful touch for guests caught in bad weather. Lastly, breakfast was repetitive, with the same selection for six consecutive days. A bit of variety would greatly improve the dining experience for long-stay guests. Overall, the hotel has potential, but service standards and guest experience need significant improvement.

Good location .very noisy at night our room was overlooking a busy road. Room great room but not as clean as it could be. Which let's the place down . Dust around edge of carpet behind bedroom cabinet . The fridge seal was disgustingly split and full of mould. The bath had a big crack in it. Pool was good but the decor needs a freshen up. Reception staff very pleasant and very helpful.
