My recent stay at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the level of service and attention to detail was evident—this hotel truly sets the benchmark for luxury stays in the city. The overall quality and upkeep of the hotel are impeccable. The property is immaculately maintained, with beautifully designed interiors that blend elegance and comfort seamlessly. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with thoughtful touches that elevate the experience. What truly stood out was the customer service—professional, warm, and always a step ahead. Every staff member I encountered was attentive and courteous, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. The buffet breakfast was a highlight each morning, offering a wide and well-curated selection of fresh, high-quality options. Whether you’re after a healthy start or a more indulgent meal, there’s something for everyone—and it’s all delicious. The hotel’s facilities are equally impressive. The gym is exceptionally well equipped, easily one of the best hotel gyms I’ve used, with modern machines and plenty of space to work out comfortably. If there’s one small area for improvement, it would be the room service menu, which could benefit from a few more diverse or contemporary options that don’t deviate too far from the fundamentals. That said, this is a minor point in an otherwise outstanding experience. Overall, the Grand Hyatt Melbourne truly surpasses many of its competitors. It’s a hotel that delivers on every promise and leaves you wanting to return. Highly recommended.
5 stars. Outstanding. Stayed for 9 nights during the Australian Open. Fantastic location. Excellent customer service which included multiple changes in check in and check out dates. Room was clean, well finished and in great condition. Really nice room design and layout. Really comfortable climate control, excellent bedding & towels. Really appreciate the included bottled water & coffee. Highly recommended.
Incredible hotel. Staff were friendly. The lounge access is definitely worth the extra money, evening drinks and lovely canapes. Buffet breakfast at the hotel is easily the best in Melbourne.
I had the pleasure of drinking at Hyatt today, and I was thoroughly impressed by the service. Our waiter, Mart, was absolutely wonderful—polite, attentive, and genuinely friendly. From the moment we sat down, he made us feel welcome and ensured that our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. He gave thoughtful recommendations on the menu and checked in at just the right times, making sure everything was to our liking. It’s clear he takes pride in his work and cares about the customers. Thank you Mart for such an exceptional experience, —we’ll definitely be back!
I enjoyed most of my time staying here. The whole breakfast experience was more than great! Gym is a bit old but still good considering it is just ancillary. However I think you should have a talk to your front desk L2 team if any senior manager is reading this. I reached out to front desk at L2 5 times in my 4nights. Most of times were great and really helpful. But when my wife trying to check our luggage’s at hotel for a few hours after checking out - she was nicely asking but all she got from your staff was a one-word reply “level 1”then the staff she back to what she was doing. Given this happens after checking out in a 5 star hotel, this really harms our feeling. I won’t naming her in public but if I can give your more details if you want.
