I stayed here a few months ago, and I really enjoyed my experience. As an ALL Platinum member, I was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful benefits they provided, including a complimentary bottle of white wine and a small tumbler that could be used to refill with complimentary still or sparkling water from the station in the lobby. The location is also excellent, with everything within walking distance. Breakfast was great overall, although I think the fried rice could use some improvement in terms of taste. The hotel is indeed a little old, but it is very well maintained. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would definitely return to Mercure Perth the next time I visit Perth.

The restaurant tables had this paper under the legs to stop wobble. We stayed for 4 nights. We were not shown how to work the lift. The room was dated with only one bed lamp for two queen beds. The main light was broken so the room was very dark. The floor had lolly wrappers from the last guests. The shower soap was empty. The air con was stuck on the one temperature and we were sweaty all night. Thank goodness the little window opened to let in a little fresh air! The view was nothing but roofs? Not that it mattered to us this trip but you might want to check your room out before committing to it. The housekeeping had a code we weren't made aware of. Apparently there is a door hanger with "still dreaming" on one side and the other side had "out exploring". When do we know when the housekeeping is meant to come? The worst was our takeout breakfast we ordered for our first morning; Paper bag with cereal, no bowl or spoon. Some sort of sandwich. Small milk, a water, fruit, a muslie bar and a can of sprite. All this for $50! For the two of us. We took it back! They did refund this the day after we went home. The entrance staff were friendly and I feel did the best they could but it's like it's not cared about by the owners. I would not stay here again.

Check-in was smooth and staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Printing services for those who need are available and gym was spacious. Room itself a bit bare (no tooth brushes provided) but has most things you would need. Overall more value budget option for premium location.

Spent 4 days here in March. Overall a good stay with no problems. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Beds were comfortable and overall the room was clean and spacious and the general decor was nice. The bar was a nice area and seemed fairly new. The pool was out of service for the latter part of our stay so we didn't have a chance to use it. Would we stay here again? Yes we would. But there's room for (easy) improvement though - it really wouldn't take much to make a big difference - the room and parts of the hotel felt fairly tired and in need in renovation. Wallpaper by the door was peeling off. The bedside lamp Had clearly been dropped or bashed and not fixed or replaced. The alarm clock (default Accor bulk buy model 20 years ago) was on the wrong time and couldn't be changed - most buttons didn't work and the backup batteries had been in it so long they'd started to leak - not ideal. The bath only worked in "shower" mode. Overall housekeeping was very good but a small detail which would have been easily fixed - the bedside tables , clock, lamp weren't dusted at all before or during our stay. USB plugs would be a nice to have.

An unusual and concerning incident occurred during my stay: an electric kettle I brought with me disappeared after being placed on the desk in my room (after housekeeping). Despite reporting the matter promptly, I have been informed that the hotel is conducting an internal review and that staff members deny involvement. While I respect your procedural diligence, the unexplained disappearance of a personal item—especially one left visibly in a private guest room—raises serious questions about room security. This incident has significantly undermined my confidence in the safety and integrity of the guest environment. Nevertheless, I would like to acknowledge the hotel’s well-maintained facilities—including a spacious fitness room and a temperature-controlled swimming pool—which contributed positively to my overall experience.
