We recently held an event at the Mercure and couldn't be happier with the experience. Gemma was fantastic from start to finish: organised, responsive and nothing was ever too much trouble. Chloe also did a great job on the night. The whole team was professional and a pleasure to work with. We'll absolutely be back for future events and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

You can stay at motels far nicer than this place. Extremely outdated and not maintained. Our room was not properly cleaned when we arrived, there was dirty brown liquid drops on the bathroom door, no body soap, curtains not properly hooked up, I can forgive the odd cockroach but the amount I saw on the 13th floor was very off putting. Very run down, 4 stars maybe when it was first built but certainly not now. They did offer to clean the room but it could only be done so before a certain time when the cleaning staff are on and my partner was sleeping, but it should honestly be clean to start with for a “4 stars” hotel - no sorry from staff - stay literally anywhere else.

Check in was from 2pm , arrived at 3pm and waited in a que from the bar area so took more than 35 mins to get checked in, room was ok, bath had a chunk out of it ,there was a panel hanging loose on the sink bulkhead , fridge had broken shelving door side and barely enough coffee / sugar sachets supplied. Have stayed here a few times before but standards have clearly dropped since last visit.

My review is mostly about Dushan the lovely staff member who took great care of us at reception! Dushan really assisted us with parking and checking our group into our rooms and provided extensive information for our needs. He welcomed us with very warm welcomes and really went above and beyond to cater for our needs. Thanks so much Dushan!!

Stayed this hotel for just one night, the pros are its budget friendly and the location is great, you can easily walk anywhere in the city. The cons are that the hotel itself self is not great. Our room smelled of smoke, and had a ‘motel’ feel. The pool was quite a distance from our room, two elevator rides, many stairs and doors later we got there. The water was lovely and warm, but you could not stay in the pool area longer than 30 minutes. There were only a handful of seats and no sun umbrellas or shade, the area is small, so with just a few families there the area was full. Maybe that is why there is no shade or sun umbrellas, to keep people rotating through the pool area and stop it becoming over crowded.
