The location is great, easy to get around and only 20-30mins from the airport. However the overall room and service is lacking. First of all, we booked a twin bedroom for 3ppl with an extra bed included. However when we returned after our dinner the bed wasn’t set up. So we asked the front desk to arrange for it but their replied saying since it was close to house cleaning leaving (which is at 9pm), they weren’t able to. Strange but no big deal we were more than capable to set up a sofa bed ourselves. But when they sent up the beddings they forgot the blanket and we have to call front desk again. This time they replied saying house keeping has left and they wouldn’t be able to send one up. It wasn’t until we replied saying we can come by and pick it up ourselves at the front desk that they changed their mind and said they can send it up. Secondly, the rooms are standard and seem clean at a glance. But on a closer look they are a bit run town. The sink in our bedroom has two faucets but only the hot one is working. And the bathtub doesn’t look very well maintained. When we were setting up the sofa bed we also found stains on the mattress. Lastly, after checked out. We were charged for a bottle of water and chocolate bar which we did not consumed. Although they have refunded it afterwards, since it was charged on my card I was charged a transaction fee which I won’t be able get back. Overall, to be honest, not a great experience. The front desk staff are polite but overall as a hotel, the room, staff training and manpower doesn’t fit those of a 4-star hotel.

The room itself was clean and comfortable, and overall the hotel looks nice. However, our experience as a family traveling with a baby was very disappointing. We had emailed the hotel several days before our stay to ask if an early check-in might be possible because of our baby. When we arrived at 1:00 pm, we were told the room wasn’t ready, and I had to wait in the lobby with the baby — while several other guests who arrived after us were given their rooms right away. Our room wasn’t ready until 2:30 pm, just half an hour before the regular check-in time. It was very clear that there was no consideration at all for guests traveling with small children. Later during our stay, we asked if we could check out a bit later than 11:00 am, since that time coincides with our baby’s nap. The answer was simply no, without any effort to accommodate us, even for a short extension. The man at the reception made the situation even worse. When I asked him kindly about our room, he said, “I’ll tell housekeeping to hurry up,” which was clearly just something to calm us down — he didn’t contact anyone at all. It felt disrespectful and dishonest. Later, when we asked if we could check out a bit later because of our baby’s nap, he didn’t even ask for our room number, he just went to the back for a few seconds and came back with a “no”. It was obvious that no real effort was made to help us. While the hotel might be fine for couples or solo travelers, it’s absolutely not family-friendly and shows no flexibility or empathy for parents traveling with a baby.

Staff very helpful. Beds very comfortable, nice firm mattress so a great night's sleep. Thought I'd booked a deluxe room overlooking the trees, so overlooking the centre of the complex was disappointing. Coffee and tea wasn't replaced after first day which necessitated a trip back to reception to get more which was a niggle. Great coffee and restaurants in the Vibe complex. The hotel is outside the centre so reliant on trains/metro or Uber, but some delightful shopping arcades nearby.

I had the chance to stay at the Vibe Hotel Sydney on Goulburn Street for a couple of nights while attending a conference. Overall, it was a decent stay and about what I’d expect for a solid 3.5–4 star hotel. The room was neat, tidy, and surprisingly spacious for the price. Nothing over the top, but certainly more comfortable than I anticipated. Location was reasonable too — a short walk to plenty of options, though the quirky shape of the building made it a little tricky for even the taxi driver to spot. The booking process was a bit odd. Initially, I couldn’t get a room for the dates I wanted, but when I checked again later it was no problem at all. To make it stranger, the gentleman running the conference couldn’t get a room on the same nights, even though availability didn’t seem like an issue. Service was mixed. Staff at the counter were polite, including a trainee who was friendly but still learning. They gave me a couple of useful tips, but also a few inaccuracies — for example, pointing me towards the rooftop sauna without mentioning the giant padlock on it. The rooftop itself had nice views across the city, though the facilities looked a bit tired and clearly due for renovations. Breakfast was included and perfectly fine for starting the day. Nothing extravagant, but good enough quality and convenient. In short: Rooms: 👍 spacious, tidy, comfortable Service: polite but inconsistent Facilities: rooftop and sauna need work, but clean and functional overall Location: handy once you know where you’re going All in all, I’d give this stay a solid 3.5–4 stars. It’s not a luxury experience, but it does the basics well and is good value for Sydney.

Rooms are clean and quite nice, housekeeping does a great job. Some issues with the water, no hot water some mornings and inconsistent pressure the whole time. Pool is very nice on hot days and the staff are very polite.
