My husband and I are on night 4 out of 5 of the Hayman Island leg of our honeymoon. To be honest we were slightly hesitant based on some of the other reviews we have seen, but…….. we are so glad we booked Hayman island! We were greeted by a lovely staff member at Hamilton island airport who helped us when we could not locate one of our bags. From there we were taken to the lovely Hayman island boat that took us to the island. This boat trip was a wonderful way to start our trip with free bubbles, water, juice and beer. Once we got to the island we were driven to reception where we were greeted so professionally, efficiently and 5 star like! Our bags were taken to our room for us- very efficiently. As soon as you walk through reception you are facing the most picturesque view and it awoke excitement to explore more of the island and what the resort has to offer. Our room….. was spectacular! We have a pool access suite and it is stunning! We love the pool access, the design features, the automatic curtains, lighting, fans, the bath, the massive shower head, there is not one thing we didn’t like! The food….. the continental breakfast is spectacular! One room for cold and room temp items and another for hot foods. It was insane! I looked forward to breakfast everyday! You are greeted by staff who take you to a table and immediately take your coffee order. I also thoroughly enjoyed dinners, I didn’t have a bad meal! The paddle boarding and kayaks are great.we had lots of fun paddling at our own leisure! Cleanliness is honestly great! Our room was great, the outdoor areas are great and visibly being maintained by staff. Some have commented on the pool not being clean, but this was not our experience at all! Service - all the staff are so kind and happy to help! While sometimes the service is slow (what’s the rush anyway - you’re on island time) the staff are great and make the wait worth it. I would not deter anyone from staying here, it has been spectacular and such a treat!

Beautiful island, but unfortunately the service and operations at InterContinental Hayman Island were far from the level expected for the price paid. During my 2-night stay, several serious issues occurred: • Hygiene problem: Two cockroaches were found inside my room (one alive, one dead). No proper follow-up and my request to change rooms was ignored. • Wrong transfer information: The hotel repeatedly gave incorrect boat and ferry times, which caused me to miss both the ferry and my airport shuttle. I had to book last-minute transport at a much higher cost. • Unexpected wedding event: A large wedding group occupied parts of the resort, creating noise and restricting access to facilities. None of this was communicated before arrival. • Billing errors: I was overcharged, and the explanation provided did not make sense. Even the Ambassador benefits were handled incorrectly and had to be corrected more than once. • Operational issues: Frequent power outages, delayed housekeeping, and unprofessional service at the restaurant. For a resort marketed as “luxury,” these problems were extremely disappointing. The environment is stunning, but the management and service delivery were well below the standard expected in Australia for this price range. I hope the property takes these issues seriously and improves, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend staying here.

We are sitting in the bar at Pacific and Ramona our bar tender is amazing. She is friendly, helpful and makes amazing cocktails. Came in for one drink and stayed for four! Yoga with Chelsea was such a lovely experience. Ended up being the only one in a group class and she made me feel so welcome and not self conscious. My partner said I was so relaxed I need to go everyday. The whole experience has been one of incredible Service, fabulous views and relaxation.

We were there for my husbands 50th birthday. A suprise for him that we had taken the care to plan for over 6mths! It was extremely dissapointing. The resort itself is stunning and the location is magnificent. The hotel itself is starting to look tired and in need of some love. We had the pool access room - they were beautiful. The food- horrible. The service - truly terrible. We are 100% convinced there is no chief on the island. The staff has not enough training and there isnt enough of them. We were told by more than 1 employee on this island. We found 1 server at breakfast crying because she had been told off by management that had magically appeared and scooped in from nowhere- hadn't seen any up until this point. We were also spoken to rudely by a server at the BBQ night (which i dont recommend going to, horrible food and not enough of it. Not enough Beach tables set up. We ended up sitting in the breakfast area, with no seat cushions on the chairs) We were charged $35 a head for a fish we had caught to be cooked for it. It came out on on medium sized serving tray. Talk about over the top expense! We raised these issue with several people within in management - not a care in the world! We were given the same line - we are aware, we are working on it, in reply. Not good enough, not even a discount offered for any of the horrible food or service we had endued. It's was disappointing to receive such a response especially considering how much you pay to stay and then a premium price for food and drinks. Sorry or not sorry to say, wont be back!

Our stay at Hayman Island was incredible. My husband and I stayed for 5 nights for our honeymoon and it was an absolute dream. The customer service was next level and everyone from reception and concierge, food and beverage, activities and housekeeping were very friendly. The resort itself is very luxurious and our pool access suite was fantastic. There was so much to do on the island and we loved the mix of adventure and relaxation. Our highlight of the trip was daily cocktails made by Mattia in Pacific. We would love to come back here again in the future and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the resort to others
