Reviews for Amora Hotel Brisbane

My partner and I have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Amora Hotel whilst visiting Brisbane for a special occasion and event. Overall we were very pleased with everything. Check in was very quick and easy and we were treated to a free room upgrade upon arrival. The room itself was clean, spacious and the bed was comfy. The view was also good as well. The location of the hotel is also good as it's within a 5 minute walk to Central Station and was not too far to other places like South Bank. The room we were in was also quiet with no sound coming from the roads outside. The staff were all lovely and helpul and attentive. If I had to chose one thing that the hotel could improve on, it would be the buffet breakfast. I think there needs to be a bigger variety of food on offer as we found the same dishes were being offered the whole time we were there. In addition to this, I think it would be good if they could add 1 or 2 more coffee machines, as we found ourselves queuing in front of the one coffee machine for a while each morning given the amount of people there were. With that being said, this hotel still deserves a 5 star review as the good very much outweighed the bad (that being breakfast). I will definitely be coming back the next time I'm in Brisbane.

We had three rooms booked for three nights over the weekend of the Edinburgh Tattoo. Check in was straightforward and easy, which was great considering it was three rooms - the staff member was lovely. We’d also booked a wheelchair for the weekend, which was promptly brought out. The hotel and rooms are lovely - a nice, calming decor. Beds so comfortable, great size rooms and bathroom, very quiet (no road noise or from the rooms next door) plenty of storage and very clean. Location to the city was very handy - 10 minute walk to the mall and also down to the river to catch a ferry. The only part that reduces the rating is food. First morning we had breakfast at the cafe. It wasn’t busy but food service was very slow. One meal didn’t come out until the other 6 had finished and only after asking - they said the kitchen was very busy (shared kitchen with the hotel restaurant) Room service meal - very burnt sweet potato fries and dry spinach and ricotta cannelloni. They did kindly remove the cost of the fries. Drinks at the bar were good although 2 drinks on the menu couldn’t be supplied to to being out of ingredients. Also, some of the bar snacks ordered didn’t come out as listed on the menu We enjoyed our weekend and the hotel. It’s just a shame that the food lets it down.

We had a wonderful stay at Amora Hotel Brisbane for a few nights in early December while attending the Lady Gaga concert. Overall, the experience was excellent and we really enjoyed our time there. All of the staff we interacted with were friendly, welcoming, and professional, which made a big difference. A special mention goes to our cleaner, Nagma Shrestha. She was new to the role but absolutely lovely — very friendly, helpful, and always cheerful. Her attitude and care really stood out and added a personal touch to our stay. The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. One small downside was with the complimentary amenities service. The hotel offers free items like shavers, coffee pods, soaps, and creams, which is a great idea. However, on two occasions I ordered amenities and they didn’t arrive as expected. The first time I had to ask staff the following morning before they were delivered, and the second time they never arrived at all. I was checking out the next day, which may have contributed, but the request was made the day before, so it was a little disappointing. That said, this was a minor issue in an otherwise very enjoyable stay. We would happily stay here again and would still recommend Amora Hotel Brisbane to anyone visiting the city.

4 Stars for a 4 Star hotel. Stayed recently in 910. Note there is standard King and premiere King on high floors, I was in a standard. I'll mirror other reviewers comments for a "5 star Luxury" Hotel. Defs a high 4, not 5. Pros- *VERY CLEAN HOTEL - Housekeeping need a pay rise. This place is clean and I mean clean. Such a refreshing surprise. *Fast, Efficient Reception - staff are trained to high standards + presentation. *Classic Reno Refresh - entrance / lobby / bar / restaurant and general areas / rooms are all light and airy. A very pleasant Revitalising aesthetic. *Well Maintained Rooms - Everything actually works in the rooms. *Website photos MATCH the rooms. *Extremely fast WiFi. *Great central location. *Freezing cold air con. Cons- NO IN ROOM BOTTLED WATER!! Reception provided upon request after I checked in and added to my account which was removed when I challenged the charge & mentioned these reviews. *No Luggage Assistance - I've received this numerous times in 4 star Hotels. *No in room Robes / Slippers *No shade area near pool. *NO TV APPS - what happens if your device does not cast?? standard TV! * HOT WATER TEMP - It is either Luke warm or lobster bath - no in between. Overall a great stay, would definitely stay again however there's definitely room for improvement for an accredited 5 star "luxury" Hotel.
