I’ve been coming here for work for some time and just as I was about to switch to another hotel, Amora renovated. And wow, what a difference. The place is now stunning. All very modern mid century, which is what every hotel is going for now it seems. But I can’t complain because I love this style. The service also seemed to improve along with the decor. The only thing that’s exactly the same is the food. Specifically the room service. It’s…passable, but certainly not noteworthy. I’ll definitely not switch to another hotel now.
I spent a week at the Amora. Rooms are very comfortable and serviced daily. Staff are very friendly and helpful. It is within walking distance of the city centre and the Roma street train station. There is also paid parking below. There are many restaurants and eateries around and their in house bars and restaurants provide good fare at anticipated prices. Certainly a good place to stay.
Large rooms, vast improvement now all upgraded. Staff and service both good. Good location for transport and Central station. Have stayed here a number of times and recommend if you're looking for a mid priced hotel.
Room was big, quiet and clean. Bed was comfy enough but smelt a bit musty and like cologne. Pillows were terrible, five to choose from and they were all super thick and firm. Gym equipment was a bit worn but a fair selection to use. Sauna was great. Would have liked the pool to be heated being the middle of winter. Cashless facility. With the amount of fees the banks charge for using cards I prefer to be given a choice. The fees will only get worse.
Amazing place for the price, lovely decorations, amazing staff. Join Amora direct and get a free upgrade (we were upgraded to a room with a complimentary mini bar). Buffet great (some issue with Groupon solved by staff to allow us to have the buffet, and on mothers day too). Only issue was they had a table of people and some walking around with no shoes, who were very smelly in the buffet, which was off-putting around the lovely food smells, and high-class look of the place. So perhaps implement and enforce a basic dress code (nothing too fancy).
