I recently stayed at Hotel Mantra Lorne to celebrate my birthday, and I have to say it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcomed and valued, which truly set the tone for a memorable stay. What stood out the most was their thoughtful gesture of surprising me with a bottle of wine and chocolates on my birthday — such a lovely and personal touch that made the day feel even more special. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained with a warm, inviting atmosphere that blends perfectly with the charming coastal town of Lorne. My room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, offering stunning views that added to the relaxing vibe. Whether relaxing in the room or exploring the nearby beach and local attractions, everything felt convenient and easy. But what really made this stay exceptional was the genuine friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Every interaction — from check-in to dining and concierge services — was handled with care and a smile. They went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and had everything I needed, which made the experience feel personalized and attentive. If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, beautiful surroundings, and heartfelt service, I highly recommend Hotel Mantra Lorne. It’s the perfect spot for a special occasion or simply a relaxing getaway. I’ll definitely be returning next time I’m in the area!

We had a wonderful stay at Mantra Lorne. The bed mattress was very comfortable and we slept so well at night. The environment is beautiful – just a short walk down to the beach, and the backyard has a tennis court, big giant chess board, and mini golf which we really enjoyed. Breakfast was quite good, and my daughter especially loved using the pancake machine. However, the building is quite old and there was a bit of a damp smell in the room. Despite this, we still enjoyed our stay. I also want to thank the team for sending back my charger, which I accidentally left in the room, via express post. Really appreciate their great service.

Bed was very comfortable, bathroom was up to hygiene standard, shower head was good, though parts of the bathroom could use a refresh as there are obvious signs of wear and tear, and there were slight amount of mould in shower area. Generally it is clean. Breakfast was good. Perhaps an elevator or luggage transfer service can be beneficial as it was difficult to move suitcases up flights of stairs; and the bathtub for the shower is also very high, and it can easily be a bathroom hazard for older people and children. Overall a very good stay. And we appreciate the late check out offered on request, honouring member’s status.

A Perfect Getaway at Mantra Lorne I recently spent a couple of long weekends at Mantra Lorne and can confidently say it’s one of the best hotels along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria. Location: The property is in an excellent spot - just a short stroll (a few hundred metres) from one of the most beautiful stretches of beach, perfect for surfing, a relaxing walk, or simply soaking up the views. Golf enthusiasts will also appreciate the nearby facilities, making it an ideal destination for families. Service: From senior management to the friendly restaurant staff, attentive waiters/waitresses, and dedicated housekeeping team, the level of service was consistently excellent. Every interaction felt warm, professional, and genuine. Experience: My stays have been enjoyable, reliable, and truly great value for money. Whether you’re a local or visiting from overseas, I highly recommend Mantra Lorne for a holiday filled with relaxation, comfort, and memorable moments. David

The room rate was quite cheap considering it included breakfast. I stayed in the main building, which requires using stairs—so not ideal for those with heavy luggage. The bathroom can be very slippery, especially in the shower area, which is combined with the bathtub. Climbing in and out to use the shower feels quite risky. Good for a short stay of 1–2 nights. Breakfast was standard.
