Written on 7/5/2024 Some people may think that the Eiffel Tower has moved to the top of the building. It looks spectacular whether it is in the day or night. The circular structure of the Arts Cetre resembles a Coliseum. The contemporary interior is subtle but inviting. The stage and the general seating are located three floors below the street level. Whike the seating arrangement may be suitable for most purposes such as concerts, recitals and projection screening, any performance such as ballet that involves footwork cannot be enjoyed by audients sitting rows away from the stage. All the seats are on level ground instead of a gentle gradient. The line of sight of auduents further away is blocked by the heads and bodies of audients in front.

Saw Fever Ray play live and really, really enjoyed the show here. The audio quality was excellent (unlike the atrocious PA at The Forum) and due to the raised seating everyone gets a good view of the stage. I wish all indie acts would play this venue instead of defaulting to The Forum.

MSO performance was wonderful. To see Star Wars movie on the big screen and hear the musical score with a full orchestra accompaniment was a brilliant idea. Sent goosebumps up my arms when the music and movie commenced.
