Sitting on 12 acres of extensive landscaped grounds, Mantra Lorne is the largest residential conference venue in Victoria.They cater for small management groups to large conventions with over 500 delegates and also have a range of venue options from the boardrooms to the pillar free convention centre as well as offering eight additional meeting rooms for breakout sessions. They have their own on-site production department which offers an extensive range of audio visual equipment as well as decor and theming, entertainment sourcing and a complete stage management service. Furthermore the conference venue has a semi-permanent infrastructure in place which includes video projectors and screens, advanced audio system, theatrical lights, lecterns, microphones, dimmable house lights, permanent rigging structure and scissor lifts and multiple three phase power outlets in each room.If you and your team wish to stay the night, they have a variety of accommodation ranging from the centrally located full service heritage rooms, to studio rooms and one and two bedroom apartments. All together they can offer accommodation for 500 delegates, all of whom will have access to wireless internet connection which is accessible from the beach.

I recently stayed at Hotel Mantra Lorne to celebrate my birthday, and I have to say it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcomed and valued, which truly set the tone for a memorable stay. What stood out the most was their thoughtful gesture of surprising me with a bottle of wine and chocolates on my birthday — such a lovely and personal touch that made the day feel even more special. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained with a warm, inviting atmosphere that blends perfectly with the charming coastal town of Lorne. My room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, offering stunning views that added to the relaxing vibe. Whether relaxing in the room or exploring the nearby beach and local attractions, everything felt convenient and easy. But what really made this stay exceptional was the genuine friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Every interaction — from check-in to dining and concierge services — was handled with care and a smile. They went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and had everything I needed, which made the experience feel personalized and attentive. If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, beautiful surroundings, and heartfelt service, I highly recommend Hotel Mantra Lorne. The rooms are ok, but the place is showing its age. They are clean, but needs an update. The paint is peeling, and the amenities need an update. The attached restaurant, The Larder, is adequate but lacks variety on the menu. Breakfast is also done here and is also lacking variety. This might be because we were here off-season. The Ceasar salad was served missing some of the ingredients, WTF. Where is the quality control. The staff were good and did their best.

We had a really fantastic experience staying at Mantra Lorne. We were pleasantly surprised at check in to be reallocated to a room very close to the beach. Hannah did this for us when she saw we had two young children which is so kind. We had arrived 30mins before check in and the room wasn’t ready, which we completely understood but Hannah wanted to make sure we left with a smile and gifted us a bottle of wine to enjoy during our stay. Every time we have visited we find the staff to be incredibly thoughtful and accomodating.

Thank you so much to everyone at Mantra Lorne, we stayed in the 1 bedroom ocean view room mid week and had a great stay. The balcony was lovely to open during the day and hear the ocean waves just steps away from the front door. We ordered room service and the steak was cooked perfectly and the seafood linguine was delicious. Happy hour was lots of fun with a warm fire to sit by while enjoying the company! Many thanks for the late check out, most welcoming on arrival.

When we first booked at the Mantra Lorne, we didn't know much about the property. However, it was a wonderful experience inside and out. It has an old world charm that is undeniable and for us had almost a nostalgic feel to it - like a place of warmth and heart that has been tended for decades. The property is lovely and the natural beauty is pristine. It's also located right on the water which was a surprise underneath a beautiful moon. The food and dining area was also wonderful. Overall, a magical retreat. Highly recommend.
